It's funny because they think that same thing. Only they think the reason there are "too many" white men in the workplace is due to racist misogynist hiring practices. That there is this mysterious underground of qualified applicants that get ignored in favor of the evil straight white male.
Why would you not hire women if you can (supposedly) get away with paying them less than a man? I refuse to believe that with the way large companies like to squeeze every penny they'd let misogyny trump saving money.
