Where can I even get food around here that's not subway or flying saucer?

13032a No.868

There's a good Thai restaurant over by the 7/11 by gates

willows deli, turn left when you get to the gas station

Potbelly Sandwiches at Bella Botega is a popular place too. MOD Pizza is okay but overrated imo. Tombo teriyaki is good too.

Alright, what I've found:
>La Isla
Cuban food. Pretty solid.

>Racha Thai

Order that pad kee mao and the spring rolls. Shit is pretty delux, but go 4/5 spicy. 5/5 get's a little too oily.

>Homegrown

"Sustainable" sandwich place. It's a little more expensive but that shit is delicious.

>Couzins Cafe

Best breakfast I've found around here. Village Square is closer and pretty good, but I like Couzin's better.

>Deru Market in Kirkland

Holy shit get ready for some of the best pizza and sandwiches you've ever had. Seating can be a cluster fuck but shit is on point. Deserts are also mad good as well. All around 10/10

There's a five guys on 124th street. If you have a car then it isn't that far about 3 miles otherwise.. uh have fun traveling.

Niko's Terriyaki in front of QFC on redmond way. Though it's like ~$9

I'm from Chicago so I doubt it, but I'll give it a try.

I've been to Chicago a number of times, and Deru is not Gino's East or anything, but it's good artisan pizza. No deep dish, but I like the crispy thin crust stuff. If you're looking for deep dish here…. Maybe… Pegasus? I'm not 100% sure, but if you know of a good place, let me know.

You're not going to find a lot of deep dish places outside of Chicago. Don't get me wrong, Gino's East and Giordanos is great, but don't scoff at a pizza place just because it's outside of Chicago.

The best pizza I ever ate was in Iowa in a tiny town called Solon.

For pizza in Washington though, the only two REALLY good places I know of would be Big Marios and Hot Mamas on capital hill in Seattle. Jesus christ, I kind of want one now.

Good to know. I should check out those places.

If we're bringing up Seattle, the best place I've found is an Indian place called Annapurna Cafe on Broadway. It's like, in a basement, but the food there is delicious.

Enjoy Sushi in Bellevue also isn't bad.

There's an Ethiopian place on capital hill that I've been wanting to try. Anyone have any suggestions on Ethiopian or maybe Nepalese food in the area?

Celtic Bayou seems nice, though Irish pub/Cajun restaurant is an odd combo

I have a suggestion for Ethiopian food! Visit the cafeteria tomorrow. I think I have them convinced.

Celtic Bayou is bad, I would not recommend it.

There is a place in Seattle called Highway 99 in Seattle on Alaskan. They've got good cajun-y food, and is a blues club to boot. I've enjoyed a number of shows there.

Not him, but lived in Chicago for 22 years. Deep dish sucks.

It's been good when I've been there, so I don't know what you're talking about.

ITT: People who have money and get to eat at nice places all the time, while us poor kids eat at Sushiland twice a week and make our own food because we can't afford cool food all the time.

Maybe if you cut back on Magic cards you could afford other stuff. Prioritize differently and spend wisely bro.

Maybe my meager college savings have run out and I'm basically running on empty until summer rolls around and I drop out and get some kind of job, because my parents don't give me copious spending money every month.

I don't know what to tell you. I work a part time job on top of my classes, so I've earned everything I've spent on luxuries like eating out.

How much are you spending at Sushiland?
'Cause when I go, I'm spending way more than I should for shitty sushi.
La Isla's Pernil Divino is a ton of food, delicious, and costs about as much as I spend at Sushiland.

>>Nice places

Most of the places listed are pretty cheap–comparable to Sushiland in terms of price. (Per quantity, naturally. You could just get a single salmon roll at Sushiland and claim it's cheaper.)
