>The Doctor: Of course! How else do you think I ended up pregnant with an interracial baby?

 No.151636

The Timeless Child was mentioned in the episode The Ghost Monument by the Remnants. I've heard of a few theories myself and I have one as well. In fact I have a few. I'd love to know what anyone else may think who the timeless child really is.

Notice: If you are new to doctor who with this series and plan to watch the previous seasons then I suggest not reading any further if you hate spoilers.

My theory: considering the conclusion to series 9, both Clara and Me(Ashildr) run away with their own Tardis. Clara was still held in stasis by the machine used on Gallifrey. The doctor tried to escape by running away once again but it didn't work. Clara still couldn't feel her pulse. The doctor ended up using a device to save Clara by having her forget him but he didn't know if it was going to be him or her that forgot the other. Long story short. The device worked on the Doctor and he forgot Clara (even though he remembers her in Twice Upon a Christmas). Then Clara and Me run away just as the Doctor did when he first stole the Tardis and left Gallifrey. Considering that Me can't die and Clara is still held in her stasis state (thats fun to say), could the two be the timeless child? Since in a certain perspective time does not affect them? For Ashildr, she was watching the universe end in series 9. She had been alone watching everything else die around her. Clara is herself from another moment in time right before her death. In a sense, Time isn't moving forward for her because she is still stuck in that moment. They both can't age they are both unaffected by the progression of time overall. Maybe it's just one of them instead of both? Maybe it's not either of them at all. Could it be a previous character from classic who? Could it be another friend or acquaintance that the Doctor knew as a child?

alright /who/ get ready to be WOKE:

charlie was NOT fighting for workers rights in any way.

Charlie was a HARDCORE capitalist and he was sick of people who should be working class peasants, reaping the rewards of UBI and automation to get a free ride through life (basically nobody had a job, but somehow everyone could afford to order from kerblam?).

Charlie thought there was only one way to stop this and force the populous to cease being LAZY COMMIES, make everyone to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and get a job, and to do this he would cause all automation to be shunned and destroyed, killing a few thousand lazy proles along the way.

This is why he had absolutely no issue killing the workers like Dan, because he himself was a rich elite (reminder he had a VERY high class education and already led a hugely privileged life), and rich elites couldn't give two shits about killing the workers to pursue their desires.

>11x12 - The Land of Dickens. Being a Work of the Master of the Land of Fiction

>Written by Steven Moffat & Mark Gatiss and Armando Ianucci

>The Doctor receives a metatelegram from her old friend Charles Dickens, leading her and her friends once more into the accursed Land of Fiction, where they discover the storied writer presiding as Master of the Land. Stalking the realm are characters from Dickensian lore, inexplicably taking the form of figures from the Doctor's lifetimes past, future, and yet to be lived. Can the Doctor and friends persuade Dickens that his gifts are greatly needed in the material world? What role will our travellers play on the Dickensian stage that lies before them? Who is the Timeless Child?

On the one hand, yay, the Gallifrey series is one of Big Finish's most creative (low bar) and Vol 1 was pretty fun. But it seems like they're actually sticking with the departures of Leela, Ace, and Braxiatel from Vol 1, which is pretty stupid considering they were definitely the best parts of it. I'm worried that without them, the series will drift toward the mediocrity of the War Doctor sets. Time will tell, I guess.

Romana (rather stupidly) sent Leela on a mission to keep an eye on the War Master, which ends in him pushing her into the Time Vortex. Presumably as set-up for Leela's War Doctor audio and her Companion Chronicles set during the LGTW.

Time Lord Ace went on a mission with Braxiatel but she figured out how manipulative he was so he wiped her mind and dumped her on Earth. Presumably as set up for "A Charitable Earth" and the Class audio?

At the very end of the set Braxiatel sends a little message to Romana and Narvin saying basically, best of luck, you guys are in way over your head, I'm out of here.

Seems like none of them (War Master included) will be returning in Vol2. It would've been kino to see how some event of the LGTW affects Earth through Ace's eyes. But maybe that'll come in a future set; I trust Handcock.

>11x13 - Dying Words

>The Doctor faces a harsh reality when she is forced to visit her old friend Alastair Lethbridge-Stewart during his dying moments for some top-secret intelligence info that will prove vital in saving the universe. Unfortunately, the dying Brigadier mistakes the Doctor for his adult daughter, Kate Stewart, who is in reality currently stationed in Melbourne investigating an unprecedented congregation of Boneless discovered on Hozier Lane. The Doctor, knowing that this is the Brigadier's last day on Earth and that Kate will not be able to make it to his deathbed in time even if her duties permitted, is forced to pretend that she is indeed Kate Stewart, as the Brigadier confesses that only if he is able to die with his daughter by his side will he die happy. The Doctor, under the guise of Kate, is consequently forced to listen to the Brigadier's laments that the Doctor never came to visit him during his final months. On top of this, will the Doctor be able to delicately gain the information she needs from the Brigadier while playing the role of a beloved family member in these tender final moments? And will she survive Kate's reckoning when she learns what's happened upon her return from Melbourne?

Kerblam was a good episode, but the lack of clarity in its messaging drags it down.

Portraying the company as evil for the sake of misdirection and the episode actually being about terrorism was perfectly fine, but why hiring more humans when robots suited the job better, and giving 2 weeks paid leave for 1 month off was portrayed as a good resolution, I'll never know.

>The ghosts of Pip and Jane Baker visit Chris Chibnall in his home in an attempt to save his soul. They show him visions of himself as a teenager on live television criticising Season 23, the sceptical and critical young boy lost to the wastes of time. They then show him pages on pages of /who/ threads and all the despondent /who/res within. They then show him a future of the show cancelled and only leagues of Big Finish Krasko Chronicles to placate the fans. Chibnall then learns the error of his ways and realises that he is not fit for purpose.

Woman kept me interested and engaged the whole way through

Ghost monument lost me

I mean I havent found anything unwatchable, I put those two low because they had the most things that made me go "wait that's not right" the most by far, I even actually enjoyed Ghost Monument and a lot of Tsuranga. Its just by the end I acknowledge how much I have to ignore to get there.

TWWFTE generally made sense and I didnt even mind the pacing, I dont think I had any major issues with it outside the rushed death desu

Now Im curious which parts of Tsuranga are Chibnall's outside the part where the Doctor wastes time to teach kids about the hadron collider.
