The translation circuit is really touchy. It won't translate everything the Doctor speaks to everything the companions hear, and the Doctor can hear and say things as they really are without the companions picking it up. Old High Gallifreyan, for example, or baby, or "right period French". Judoon is just another example.

 No.235322

>>235321

>Old High Gallifreyan

The Doctor chooses not to translate because he can't have his companions knowing the secrets of the Time Lords (see also: the Doctor Donna)

He doesn't want to offend his human companions by showing them what kinds of things babies say

It all comes from the Doctor's telepathy. This is literally confirmed in a Fourth Doctor episode iirc

For some reason I've always felt like Thirteen would work strangely well if she was in The Doctor Falls rather than Twelve. I don't know why but I can picture her giving the whole kindness speech and especially running around blowing up the Cybermen with her Sonic while yelling out the names of all the places she's defeated them before really well. It sounds crazy because TDF is a perfect episode and the antithesis to the Chibnall-era, and to even imply that Jodie/Peter could be interchangeable is almost blaspheme.

So I'd give her an episode like that. Have her lose everything and put her in a hopeless situation where she's forced to come to terms with who she is and reckon with her previously centrist/ambivalent nature. I'd also make it companion-lite after Thirteen had 3 people around her at all fucking times and the one time she didn't have her companions around in Series 11 (in It Takes You Away after Graham finally leaves the mirrorverse through Thirteen escaping the anti-zone at the end) it was far and away the most engaging she's been as a character and the first time she felt like the Doctor

 No.235346

>>235308

idk what it would be about but I can say with 100% certainty that anything I'd write would be better than Chibnall's S11 finale. That's not me saying I'm a good writer, just that Ranksoor av Kolos is such an astonishingly bad script that the only way I could write something worse than that would be if I did it on purpose.

 No.235389

The first time I received a blowjob from a cat, I was about eleven years old, and I am not going to lie, it was one of the best blowjobs I have ever gotten. Now I might add that this was purely accidental. You see, my parents decided I was finally old enough to be left home alone, so I did what any normal teenager would do: I stripped naked, jumped on the couch and started beating my meat.

So after about two minutes of masturbation, my orange cat, Jonesy, walks in, and honestly I didn't think much of it, but then I noticed that he was getting kind of curious. He was slowly moving closer and closer to me, and then he proceeded to jump on the couch with me, and then he just kind of sat down and quietly observed me. Now at first, I was kind of creeped out by this, but you know I hadn’t finished yet, so I decided to just ignore him and to continue masturbating, and I have to say that this was the best decision of my life.

You see, after about a few more minutes of watching me, Jonesy decided to help me out. He slowly moved closer and proceeded to put his front paws on my naked thigh, putting his face maybe three to four inches from my penis. Now at this point, I was kind of close to cumming, so I just tilted my head back and closed my eyes. And this is when it finally happened; this is when I felt his tiny little tongue on my rock hard dick, and it was the weirdest, but also the best, feeling ever. His tongue was a bit rugged, yet gentle, and he was moving it so rapidly that I stood no chance: I orgasmed and exploded my seed all over Jonesy’s cute face. Some of the cum even went deep into his throat and he swallowed it with no hesitation. Unfortunately, some of the cum also found its way into his tiny nostrils, causing him to sneeze, which launched the cum into the air, some of it landing on my face and some of it landing on the couch. After the feeling of euphoria settled I slowly returned to reality. I almost couldn't comprehend what had just happened, but I knew I was dead if my parents ever found out, so I proceeded to take a shower with Jonesy and then I thoroughly cleaned the living room, removing every last ounce of cum. My parents never found out.

After this, me and Jonesy repeated this experience on the daily. As most people do, I masturbated every night before sleep, so when all the lights in the house went dark, I cracked the door open and Jonesy would slip in, and we would do the deed. Over the years, our little ritual was also becoming more sophisticated. I would proceed to rub my penis with bacon so Jonesy wouldn't just lick the tip of my penis, but he would rather pleasure me from the balls all the way up to the top of the shaft. We decided to also try penetration. Now, Jonesy's asshole was pretty small and tight, so I had to use butter as lubricant, and I have to say that it went pretty well. His virgin asshole felt amazing, but then about a minute in, Jonesy started to get kind of rowdy. I guess he just couldn't take it anymore, and he quickly turned around and actually chomped at my penis, so yeah that was the first and also the last time we did that.

Unfortunately our story ends abruptly. At the age of eight years old, Jonesy was driven over by my neighbor. The weeks following the accident were the darkest times of my life, but I eventually got over it, and I still occasionally wank my dick in honor of Jonesy.

R.I.P. little buddy.

What if the casing of a Cyberman was made out of a different kind of metal? Cybershades are made out of bronze and there was a wooden one in TotD so it isn't out the question (also the gdrive has it in 720p when the episode was made in 1080p). This could completely change episodes with Cybermen rusting. Imagine a Cyberman completely made out of mercury, reaching it's hands out to get you dripping it's fluid all over. Think about a disfigured Cyberman face melting. Cybermen splatting against the wall because it lost it's balance while chasing you.

Well she smiled, had about as much teeth as a Jack-O-Lantern, and I went on to tell her how I would wear her face like a mask as I do my little

kooky dance. And then she told me to shush. I

guess she could sense my desperation. Course,

it's hard to hide a hard-on when you're dressed like Minnie Pearl. **

So, Bambi's goin' on about how she can make all my fantasies come true. So I says, "Even this one I have where Jesus Christ is jackhammering Mickey Mouse in the doo-doo hole with a lawn dart as Garth Brooks gives birth to something resembling a cheddar cheese log with almonds on Santa Claus's tummy tum?" Well, ten beers, twenty minutes and thirty dollars later I'm parking the beef bus in tuna town if you know what I mean. Got the nail her back at her trailer. Heh. That rhymes. I have to admit it was even more of a turn-on when I found out she was doin' me to buy baby formula.

I always thought it would be inevitabile that the doctor in their universe would become a commodity on earth considering all of the exposure alien invasions have had - so it would be a good idea to have an in-universe version of the show that creates merchandise and becomes just as popular as the show in this reality - I would like to see this narrative in an episode, but it actually seems too high-concept for ol' chibbers to pull off. Maybe you're just young or something but if you really think people online being overly-sensitive is a new phenomenon, it's not. "It consists of talking heads, interrupted by moments of excruciating and unwatchable violence. Now, I admit, there's plenty of unwatchable violence in film, but never attached to my name. Speaker for the Dead, I don't want it to be filmed. I can't imagine it being filmed."

also Matt's casting was reported by Deadline a few days after they also broke the casting of Dominic Moaghan, who was also not included in the intitial cast announcement (along with Keri Russell but I think her deal was finalized a few hours later and they just quietly added her to the updated press release and Ian McDiarmid for obvious reasons) and Monaghan's def in the movie because he's talked about it in interviews. Matt possibly not actually being in it was only because some woman who works for the L.A. Times tweeted a few weeks ago that Matt Smith told her "As far as I can tell, I’m definitely not [in it.]" which could've been him joking or him just trying to play coy and keep his role secretive. Maybe it's just a voice role and so Matt hasn't needed to be on set or record his lines, which is why he said "as far as I can tell".

It makes more sense for one of those to be the case than for Deadline's source (who had just told them about Monaghan's casting) to be wrong AND for Richard E. Grant to have also lied about seeing him on set for no reason in an interview. Deadline/Variety/Hollywood Reporter are all v realiable & trustworthy with stuff like this. It's not like in the UK where you're stuck with the Mirror/the Express/the Sun who aren't trustworthy enough to report the color of the sky accurately.

the only "rumor" about that came from either the Express or the Mirror, who have literally never gotten anything accurate when it comes to Star Wars rumors before and cite youtubers speculating about their shitty star wars theories as sources.

Also why would they need Matt to play young Palpatine when they actually brought back Ian McDiarmid to play him? if they needed to show the character when he was younger they could just digitally de-age him or even just have him wear his hood up and only show his mouth/nose. Matt looks nothing like Ian McDiarmid anyway, so if they were trying to cast a younger version of him they would cast someone who looks remotely similar to him like Jude Law.

I mean, why should that have any relevence to her as a politician? Danaerys doesn't have any policies or political positions, so if she's Warren's favorite Game of Thrones character it's because she likes her dragons and thinks her and Jon Snow are cute together. The GOT character I want on the throne on the end is gif related, and not because I like his politics (don't think he has any) or because of my political beliefs. I just like him because he has a flaming sword and it's fucking cool

anyway Game of Thrones hasn't been about politics since like Season 2. Now it's just trying to be Lord of the Rings but the characters fart and say fuck. It's 100% because of Danaerys' politics. And she completely misses the point of eg last week's episode, which explicitly put a spotlight on the hypocrisy of Danaerys roasting two people who refused to bend the knee, after all her promises about being different from her father.

It's just a weird move to see such a mainstream politician writing 800+ words about a TV show, and with such a Wrong Take nonetheless.

In terms of my personal ranking I definitely liked the Gunn movies and Civil War better, and maybe Iron Man 3. Overall Endgame was a better experience than the rest of the many movies, for me, though.

Did I like it…there are three acts of the movie, yeah? One of the acts I loved. One of the acts I had no strong feelings on. One of the acts I thought was dodgy, with some very enjoyable stuff, but also some very poorly-done stuff. People will have their own responses to the movie.

>>235930

lol I deleted that hoping it wouldn't be read because I felt bad about saying it :/

AD S4 original cut >>> fan chronological cut >>>>>>>>>>> not watching it at all >>>>>>>>>>> remix

The remix is complete trash. There are articles and videos that go into why, though they spoil both versions, but essentially it completely undermines/removes the entire premise/conceit of the season, then either removes or degrades/overexplains all the jokes. Spare yourself. The OG season 4 is absolute kino, and even if you don't agree after you watch it, at least you'll have watched something pure and that was trying something new, not some frankenstein re-edit.

The fan chronological edit is a really cool way to re experience the season after watching it the OG way, really reframes it interestingly, if you're interested after watching s4 I can drop a link to it.

 No.235932

>>235931

Oh, spoilers have been shown time and time again to increase enjoyment, so for popcorn media like capeshit or series 11 I usually actively spoil myself to some moderate degree before consuming. Doesn't bother me. I understand thinking otherwise if you're planning on doing some sort of critical analysis where you want to judge the author's writing by learning things in the order they intended, but otherwise, why bother?

Come to think of it, I think there's an opening in the market for reviews that include as part of their analysis a knowledge of what was leaked before opening day. It'd serve to preserve what the experience was like for a small-but-not-insignificant portion of the audience, and it would really put a spotlight on shitty promotional campaigns or productions full of leaks.

Anyway, that's all just my personal philosophy. Of course it doesn't apply to shit like full story synopses that always circulate right after general release. Just genuine leaks.

And thank you, that'd be great! Really enjoying the show so far.

They specifically took famous short stories like the one where the wife killed her husband with a leg of lamb, then had one group of people just read the story and rate it, while the other group did the same BUT first read an intro saying "In this famous short story where a wife kills her husband with a frozen leg of lamb…" And that group liked the stories better, with a statistically significant difference. It's obviously hard to generalize, but it's been replicated a few times with similar effect size, and it matches my personal experience well enough. There's such a stigma about spoilers (for shit's sake, look at the name) so I definitely hope to see more research into it in the future.
