We already went over this, Jesus. It's obviously long gone, they kinda fucking mention that in every way but outright, half a dozen times. She's got a jiggery-pokeried phone, she's using modern tumblr. The astronaut goes so far as to say only a historian would know jack shit about tumblr anymore.

When it comes to the president, chances are nobody listened to her anyway. Clara's little message invariably must have caused riots and destruction worse than what the tides had done, to overtake all power grids and turn them off. It's a miracle she didn't get assassinated for even suggesting they let their fucking moon hatch. Plus, she's not stupid. She understands self-fulfilling paradoxes and would let the lights go out because that's how she got to where she is now instead of blowing herself up as a kid.

I would dissect every last thing, because this post needs to die, but seriously, ugh. Just give it a rest.

Seriously, if you like Who for the writing and characters Kill the Moon was one of the worst ones yet.

The Doctor (especially this one) going out of his way to make one random human feel special, Clara acting like a bipolar girlfriend, the Tumblr fanservice, and most damning the message that the majority should just be ignored and that the individual is always right.

That's what this episode was: one giant fucking Tumblr fanservice.

Oh well, at least the Mummy episode cleaned it up somewhat. It's still on probation with me though. One more shitshow like KtM and I'm out.
