In this case it was literally some trolls from /pol/. Awhile back now I came across a thread on /pol/ suggesting that they should raid /doctorwho/ (at the time we were in the top 10 boards so we were drawing a fair bit of unwanted attention).

I went into the /pol/ thread and goaded some people on to start raiding early. I didn't want to go to sleep and wake up to a bunch of gore on the board so I figured it'd be best the best idea. A bunch of idiots fell for the bait and were very promptly banned. Other /pol/tards came to the conclusion that the whole thread was a honeypot and then just let it die.
