I mean let's be honest outside of live threads and shitposters from /tv/, /who/ was a circlejerk anyway.

It would be so good.

Except bad effects would look even worse.

Still far more than worth the tradeoff in my opinion

I'm in for the long haul if others are.

Anyway, discussion time.

People of /doctorwho/, where does this series rank in terms of NuWho so far?

 No.2859

IIRC Pirateanon said the first 20 minutes of deadily assassin are shot on film. We could get a bluray if the film is still out there.

There are other episodes like that too I think.

3) Series 5
4) Series 3 minus last 15 minutes of finale

The rat from Weng-Chiang would be even more horrendous.

But yeah, it would be so worth it.

Not that guy, but here's my answer.

Aliens of London/World War Three.
The Long Game.
Boom Town.
Rusty's cum on the lens.
Burping bins, farting Aliens, trampolines, pop culture references that works well at the time, but haven't aged well

I agree but I think 9 is great in all those stories and makes up for it.

In my opinion anyways.

I think if Eccleston wasn't playing the doctor in Series 1 the show would have been cancelled.

His acting talents completely carried that whole season. He was way better than most of the scripts he got.

I think the show wouldn't have done as well if they'd just started with Tennant honestly. I think people needed Eccleston to start with.

I could always be wrong though.

 No.2880

I think it really started to show some real style in Series 5. They had to up their game for HD, and it worked.
Series 6 started to look really, really good and now Series 8 has pushed it into a new, fantastic direction too

I still think dalek is the best episode of nuwho that features them

that's just me though

 No.2882

>>2877
This got me thinking.
Actors of course will hype up and say they love every episode but what episodes do you think they didn't like?

I find it hard to believe Eccleston actually liked some of the scripts he was getting. A lot of them were junk.

I agree completely

 No.2884

>>2882
I don't think Eccleston would ever admit it but I get the impression he disliked most of the stories he was in.

 No.2885

>>2882
This isn't related to the scripts exactly, but I've read that Eccleston had zero experience with Daleks, and when he encountered them for the first time, he was astounded. They were something completely new for him and apparently he had a really good time, and it shows through with his acting.

 No.2886

>>2882
I think the only episode Eccleston ever have commented on is the Doctor Dances. Which he liked
