>>3496Maybe the BBC put pressure on to have a contemporary companion because of some demographic nonsense.

Dark Eyes I or Dark Eyes II?
I preferred II. The Master was great.

>>3497Season 8 has had easily the most philosophical/character complexity of any season of nuwho, they've been super consistent with the the Clara+Doctor character arcs and despite it being an obvious focus (am I a good man?) they haven't spelled everything out for people. I still think RTDs characters had more emotional depth but Moffat is finally nailing an "intelligent" story that isn't just "lol convoluted plot!"
The kids get the "MAN WHO FIGHTS THE MONSTERS" and the adults get "goodness has nothing to do with it."

>>3504Moffat may have finally found the perfect balance.
I definitely agree with your statement about RTD's emotional depth, but it is often done inappropriately and out of character. 10 was so inconsistent that I wondered if he had the same showrunner at times.
Hopefully Moffat does manage to bring some more emotion to the characters, starting with Danny.

What if Missy is the new companion?
Think about it.
What if she turns out to be a good guy in the end?

Hey guys, help me out here. I remember seeing a classic serial from the early 80s and thinking "This shit is ripping off Star Wars" but I don't remember which one or how. Any idea what I'm thinking of?

http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Missy_(Nightmare_in_Silver)Does anyone remember this? I remember someone mentioned it to Gattis on an after show and he said "sometimes you know too much"
Was he just joking around or do you think this has any relevance?
