An interesting narrative vid of the Time War, using pre-existing footage
No.4350
I like /pol/ just as much as the next guy (I even agree with a LOT of their political views), but they are fairly autistic as of late.
They failraided /doctorwho/ a few weeks ago with gore (oy vey how shocking, that triggered me)
What bugs me is that they wanted to kill us for being a breeding ground for degeneracy, yet they let /furry/ and /pone/ and /lgbt/ all the others stay. Just me being buttmad and autistic, but it's still interesting. They must just be unable to take on those big boards, probably full of mods.

Was Rassilon worried about dying as in actually dying?
Or was he not wanting to regenerate like Ten?
I'm sure they could get some regeneration for the god damn Lord President, so it was probably a fear of regeneration.
Why did RTD suddenly try to force this "Regeneration is like dying" thing?
No.4358
>>4352It actually happened at the first height of popularity that we had. Our success lead to /doctorwho/ becoming one of the top 10 ranked boards and we were beginning to appear automatically on the top bar of the site. Some /pol/ack saw and made a thread saying 8chan was being invaded by SJWs and linked to our board.
Thankfully I came across the thread before any actual raiding and myself and Adama were able to delete&ban anyone who bothered to try gore-posting almost immediately.

No.4369
>>4365The rankings also worked based off of number of posts per day at the time (instead of cumulative unique IPs, which is what it uses now). For whatever reason /doctorwho/ is really good at racking up post counts. Even now if you sort the boards by posts per hour we're the fifth most busy.

People accuse NuWho of promoting race mixing, but actually it looks like the opposite is true. Let's look at all of the marriages/relationships involving main characters that are either confirmed or implied to have a happy ending
>Pete and Jackie
>Martha's parents
>Rose and the Meta-crisis Doctor
>Martha and Mickey
>Amy and Rory
>Jenny and Vastra
Only one of these couples is mixed race and that's with a different species, not a nigger or anything. Now let's look at the main mixed race couples we've seen in the show
>Rose and Mickey: started to fall apart as soon as Rose met the Doctor
>Donna and her fiance: He betrayed her and tried to kill her
>The Doctor and Martha: Martha continually tries to flirt with the Doctor but is ignored or shot down
Message seems clear: don't date blacks. I honestly don't get how people can miss the anti-race mixing themes.

>>4534I don't get why people hate on 5. He's got fantastic character development. Think about it . He also started out as a man full of love and hope, but many of his companions either died or left on less than ideal terms and as his run went on the moments of despair became more frequent (the end of Warriors of the Deep, thinking he had lost the TARDIS forever in Frontios) until by the second half of season 21 he had become a pretty hardened, ruthless motherfucker, different from the happy-go-lucky Doctor seen at the beginning of season 19. He came this close to killing Davros, he actually let the Master burn and of course all this comes to a boil in The Caves of Androzani where we see just how determined the Doctor is not to lose anyone else. He'll go to any lengths to save someone he just met because he owes it to her since he's the one who got her into this. It's like he's redeeming himself for all the failures throughout his life and that's why when he regenerates he sees all his past companions willing him to live.

>>4559Man I remember going through the first three. I was kinda disappointed because the writing was pretty good, (based Phil Ford) and I wished they'd gotten to be TV episodes instead of clunky games with really bad voice acting. Seriously I don't think Matt could have phoned it in harder.
I still want to see the concept for the Cybermen one brought to the TV show for a Cybermen episode, where it was basically "what if we make The Thing, but with Cybermen?"
