Fascinating that you chose that shot for power of the daleks- yes I can picture tomb's cliff shot vividly now, though initially I had the original The Daleks shot when they're on the barren cliff over looking the city with the Thals in mind.

I see what you're saying, although because of all the action i don't think Revenge would have been a terrible place to kill 3, theres some natural ways to do it there; but i agree that genesis is overall a better story, no question there.

In 2 if we're being honest i would have done a fakeout:Pertwee spends most of the last episode asleep and it would have been great to be like "oh no! He's dying" all story only to go super canon, have him tell off the brigadier like he does at the end and use his tardis console, then stumble back in covered in soot like he does in canon and have him apologize and regenerate. Still on a meta level the telesnaps image is VERY clever.

I will say that from what you're describing I did a lot of the same: we'll get into it when we get there, but approximately 5+ pages are out of the Threeish Doctors because to be honest no one really cares about the unit plot and the time lord pieces were covered in the story before it. There are some things i keep thinking I wish id kept but in hind sight flow is so much more important than extra nonsense for the sake of character wank. Maybe someday we'll all have to have a snyder cut of our long stories, eh?

What's 8chan doing here?

 No.56107

The fact that so many books still name the Tennant era as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" period of Doctor Who only tells you how far the show still is from becoming a serious art. Star Trek fans have long recognized that the greatest ST series of all time was Deep Space Nine, which was not the most popular or successful or best selling of it's time, let alone of all times. The Tennant era was more popular than any other (not true, by the way), therefore it must have been the greatest. Who critics are often totally ignorant of the eras of the past, they barely know the all time classics. No wonder they will think that the Tennant era did anything worthy of being saved.

There is a market for porn aimed at women. It's just all mostly awful, soft focus, candle lit, rtd-esque cinematography. They have entire sections at actual brick and mortar porn shops. Sure, but why generalize when surely those exceptions are probably "physically" present. Also, tbf I think part of that pattern of skew has to do with the acceptability of the given options. It's less socially acceptable for a girl to enjoy hardcore pornography as opposed to a "romance novel".

That is absolutely not the reason things become socially acceptable. For instance it's socially acceptable in islamic countries for women to wear burkas and be stoned to death for showing a little knee. It's not because they're inclined to do either. It's a norm that's put upon them.

Considering Scarlett Johansson also barely fucking resembles the actual trans man she's supposed to be portraying, I'd say it's just retarded casting by some braindead Hollywood exec whose two anorexic neurons stop functioning the moment they register the word "transgender."

For reference, this is how the actual man Scarjo's supposed to be portraying looked. Notice how even though he was biologically female, he looked like a butch lesbian at his most feminine, and certainly not an overrated, blond bimbo actress who played one of the shittiest Avengers in the MCU and bears no fucking resemblance to him physically in any way.

I don't think Hollywood can find enough high profile trans people with acting talent to fill all roles, but it doesn't seem like they're doing a good job at finding high profile cis people with acting talent either, so regardless of how political someone not involved with the transgender community directly or indirectly wants to get, or from what side, it seems pretty obvious that Hollywood is completely fucking moronic.
