The fanbase is just as shit, and the stories aren't good either. The tone of the show has gone from "fun space adventures" to "soap opera with hints of sci-fi sometimes". The Doctor is still fun to watch, but everything around him is pretty awful.

Yes the fans on places like tumblr and reddit are shitlords, but the show is good. The most recent series was one of the best.

Literally everything went down-hill from the moment Matt Smith was announced as the new doctor. The show feels more like a soap than a sci-fi and none of the shows feel very serious anymore.
