I think Moffat is generally a good writer. His work with Sherlock was amazing. However, I believe his attitude and writing style is not anywhere near the attitude and writing style we've all come to know and love with doctors 9 and 10, and think he should be, at most, a guest/cowriter. However, with all the tumblrtards coming in for the ride with 11, comprising at the least a very vocal minority (but most likely more than a slight majority) of the fanbase, it's not like they can very well get rid of him. I don't know, I didn't fact check, I can just sense a change in the writing of the show, and the feeling of the show overall, with 11 and 12. I never really liked 11 except for the first few episodes, but 12 I feel has great potential. Just, not with these current writers. I don't know, thoughts?

11 was an obvious pandering mess after the "tumblr" audience caught on. I absolutely hated the way they handled him. As much as I love the Doctor's goofy side, they just fucking overdid it. It's hard to take a character seriously when his whole point is to be a big manchild.
12 has potential in that the writers are probably just sick of writing 11 to be a big silly fuck. I still haven't begun series 8, but god damn am I ready. I just hope the writers don't try and pander again. That's one of the worst things you can do in writing, to fucking pander to people.

Exactly. I mean, Moffat was always a bit over the top. His ideas were always a slight bit wonky at the least, his take on the Doc for his given episode was a slight bit wacky, but no harm done. I mean, before the likes of 11 he's written some damn fine episodes. But it's like with 11 the producers said "We've got a bunch of brain dead teenaged weebs on the internet who like us now because we're not mainstream, how much like Supernatural can you make us?" And Moffat said "Just watch." And so it was done.

only made it…TWO episodes in thus far of the new series and i'm not a fan of it sadly.

was very hype for capaldi and a more darker serious tone on the doctor as compared to silly whacky doctor but i've yet to see much of the doctor at all in the new series. it seems much more focused around everyone else aorund him versus showing him doing anything.

that andi am so sick and fucking tired of the lesbian couple by this point. almost as much as i am of river

i've hear dit's picke dup pace since but i just havent felt the urge to continue watching.

How do you mean? And source?

They said the Mummy in episode 6 was too scary.

Also here's some kill the moon spoilers from DWM.

>KILL THE MOON

>The moon has changed - and now it's threatening to wipe out all life on Earth. But when the Doctor uncovers its secrets, he realises the situation is graver than anyone thought. Can he stand by and let humanity destroy the moon?

>Clara: We have a terrible decision to make. It's an uncertain decision, and we don't have a lot of time. The man who normally helps - he's gone. Maybe he's not coming back. In fact, I really don't think he is. We're on our own…

>DWM says, "Having rumbled the school caretaker's secret in the previous episode [see above], Courtney begs the Doctor for a trip in the TARDIS - and, against Clara's better judgement, he obliges. He offers Courtney the chance to be the first woman on the Moon, and so they fly off into the far future. But, when they arrive, they cross paths with a group of human astronauts (captained by guest star Hermoine Norris) who are on a deadly mission. They are going to use dozens of nuclear bombs to blow the moon into a billion tiny pieces."

>The magazine also states that Clara will face a life-changing dilemma, adding, "Perhaps more than any episode so far this series, we'll see just how alien this new Doctor is." Writer Peter Harness adds, "By the end of this episode - and I know we say this kind of thing a lot, but believe us - things will never be the same again. I still don't know how people will take it. I've never see the Doctor do something like this before." DWM comments, "By the end of the episode - once you've started breathing again after a final scene that Steven Moffat calls his favourite this year - you may wonder where the Doctor goes from here."
