Dragonfire adds a fair amount of background stuff, gives the small girl character a lot more to do plus some Ace subplots relating to Glitz and before she got timestorm'd. Attack of the Cybermen talks a fair bit about Bates, Stratton, Lytton & The Gang and describes the tombs as they were in Tomb instead of what they were in Attack. The Curse of Fenric goes into a fair amount of detail on Sorin, Judson, Millington, Wainwright and Nurse Crane, while also embelleshing on a lot of the smaller details like the ULTIMA Machine and the Haemovores. Ghost Light expands on a lot of stuff that got cut (some of which still exists in a good quality) and includes a subplot that got cut.

I'm sure that there are more that I've read (including a copy of Terror of the Zygons from America with a pretty good logo) but I'd 100% recommend the novelisations of Ghost Light, Curse of Fenric and Dragonfire. A lot of the Dalek stories aren't that interesting novelised, but they're all alright.

At this stage I wouldn't be surprised if Vinay Patel is writing that supposed India-centric episode that was talked about a while ago.

Nacho Week Cont.!

Special thanks to Neo for the review!

>The Time Trap

This is the moment I started hot welding the universes together. My intent here is that this incarnation of The Shalka Doctor is the one that came from the 8 I killed off from Shit Trips 2's Farewell to Friends! How's that for continuity?

Ive always taken the Shalka Doctor as the realization of what Gary Finish could have become had Doctor Who not come back-Arcs as an element gained so much more presence and regularity to Gary Finish that it certainly helps bridge classic and nuwho in a friendly manner.

Going back and watching scream of the shalka to get the characters right proved more of a task than I intended. A lot of research was done digging up the bbc shalka vampire website short story(the only official continuation) and rereading the novelization of which I only got halfway through.

There was some debate as to whether I was gonna have tennant's unit soldier show up here and have 3-4 parallel tennants running around my universe with all of them wanting to start a war against the Narrator for making him look bad. Maybe for 1.5.

And so in some ways scream of the shalka being a continuation of that bridge meant i felt free to indulge in references all around the universe: there's elements of classic who continuity, elements of nuwho, spin off, bbv references, a meta reference to matt smith in The Crown, shit trips…

And holy fuck that was a fun story to write because of that.

I didnt use the Kin the way Neil Gaiman used them, mainly because I'm not the kind of writer he is. But frankly they're menacing enough without seeming like. Ancient Gods out to destroy us all aren't they?

Yes, I'm the kind of lame person who laughs at his own jokes. I still laugh at the 2 jokes at The Master's expense. Its comedy gold and I would defend that until the day I die if I had to!

This being the only story that might have a real honest to god unmistakable visual reference I wanted to spend as much time in the spots where you knew what they looked like(even if its crudely drawn flash animation rooms) as possible. Mainly because I'm a lazy writer who feels describing rooms eats up pacing. Am I wrong tho?

What I think will come in 1.5, I've decided to expand upon the plotpoint that created this retcon: for this story to work, the Shalka Doctor WAS canon. So to my imagination the 8 that died in Farewell to Friends is Book 8, the one with the Time Virus he got in Interference. That means off screen Shalka found out and had a war against the Faction Paradox in which he was forced to sacrifice the book timeline and erase himself from Doctor Who to make Audio 8 happen so the faction paradox never took his body. That's a ridiculously imposing piece of lore to write someday. Maybe I'll ask Nilso to do it one day…

Watch the use of Loud Music as a distraction: that solution comes up again in Train of Thought as a way to keep the mind from wanting to look away from the perception filter that makes the eponymous train invisible! In a headcanon the three doctors probably had breakfast where they all sat down and stole eachother's ideas.

The big reveal to the original season was that there are doctors that universe hop, which is less the case here since Course Correction does that for you in the current season. But the reveal that now instead of there being exile's lifeline we're getting exile AND shalka in a team up?

Now, not many(actually probably just neo and oncoming) will get the musical reference joke-In the musical "A Chorus Line" the song I Hope I Get It is the opening number, an audition of all the main characters and company cast(the ones who play backgrounds and bit parts) on equal footing so you don't know who the main characters will be. In the original broadway recording, the first solo is sung by Donna Dresch, who's character is cut at the end of the first number, paralleling what happened to the Shalka Doctor. I'd like to think he might get the meta irony of listening to that song despite his scenario.

Anyways, thank you to anyone who's reading along and if you are please feel free to start the season at The Time Trap, Stalemate or The Revolution Games! Or jump ahead into The Threeish Doctors Redux! All were written as continuity free starting points for your enjoyment! Thank you!

The aim of quotas is to introduce talent from those groups to the organisation so that they will continue hiring people from those groups without needing to fill a quota. Yeah, Big Finish needs some new blood, but the way she worded it was too "fire everybody and hire these fanfiction writers that I just happen to know!" That and her fights with Tom and the DWM editors claiming that people will be fired over this, it's like she wants to police Doctor Who spin-off media to be molded in her own image.

This take is too blackpilled for most staff who have ever worked on Doctor Who, and certainly far too blackpilled for the pathetically cosy liberal consensus that surrounds what's "acceptable" for the show and people around it to say/think.

It's probably too blackpilled for the Chibnall era too, by the way. S11 will absolutely push some sort of bleak 'tolerance! Everybody say love! Anger is bad!' moral and likely sand off any potentially interesting jagged edges thrown up by stories about civil rights etc. in the process.

That's a shame. Righteous anger maybe justified, but meeting hate with hate and harm is just cyclical. Pity, mercy and compassion is the only antidote for it.

If Sandifer actually had righteous anger, she would actually go out and protest the big issues like the refugee crisis, political corruption, and the immigration debate, not arguing and pissing off other leftists and left-leaning individuals. She talks tough, but shows little. And she doesn't know that, she doesn't know she's so far up her own ass that the people who support her the most aren't fellow leftists, but people on 8chan.

You can be righteously angry at little things too. I don't know what she does off twitter, maybe she does protest the evils of the world every chance she gets, but to wish harm is a step too far.

It is the board culture from elsewhere. Rather xenophobic to not accept it lad.

>humane way

Humane way would need a founding basis and a reason for it being the only way. Tge humane way is relative morality which can justify anything if twisted ever so slightly depending on the circumstances.
