that aside, I have thought about crimes and how to reduce them. Any system that employs autonomy will be less likely to crime. For example, reducing the number of people in a city, will allowing said city to have a pseudo-constitution would allow the people there to have more control on crime… Much better than leaving it on the hands of bureaucrats.

Por lo menos en mi país la cultura en el fondo es bastante homogénea. Hay algunos grupos, como por ejemplo las gentes que viven al norte, que tienen culturas bien diferenciadas del resto (principalmente antiplánicas: aymara, licanantay, etc…), pero son demasiado reducidos para hacer una diferencia a nivel global. Creo que las diferencias reales entre las distintas gentes de Chile se originan más bien de cuestiones de orden político-económico que de "raza". Un buen ejemplo sería que, independiente de algunas variables poco influyentes, hay una marcada diferencia cultural entre la gente de "campo" y la de "ciudad" a lo largo de toda la geografía nacional (que es, paradojalmente, muy variada)

Simply put - capitalism subsumed it. More specifically western nations forced an individualist outlook on the workers of the world by framing a narrative of a variety of identity and issue politics, such as the civil rights struggle and early feminist movements. Coinciding with this internal decay, corporatist aims to break down unions and restrict political opposition – in the US especially – destroyed what outlet the left had with the populace and greatly restricted what could be done inside the confines of the existing capitalist system. In Europe the left survived this by either taking the most moderate stances possible or fully embracing bourgeois egoism, but the US's famously reactionary ideological rhetoric succeeded in the removal of socialism of any variety from the table.

Of course, I'm paraphrasing greatly, and somewhat imparting my own opinion, but it's a rather well discussed subject and I'd recommend reading more professional analysis before taking my word on it.
