Maybe if we keep it super strictly on the doll/toy focus it could be? I had two ponies like the one you have (G2) but the rest of mine are older. Found mine again when I was in high school and started buying everyone's as they all moved out on to college. Think I spent maybe $75 total and have around 180 now.

I LOVE the G2 designs. The molds were so much more gorgeous than frumpy G1. G4's dolls are depressing with how tiny they are. They really lack the pretty details that the older ones had and they don't give them the same kinds of accessories. I remember 90s MLP toys were generous as hell and even Ivy came with her own little flower vanity and a small jewelry cabinet with grapes on top. This wedding pony I had came alone (which always had me dying), but with an adorable little chapel and a wearable ring.

As long as it doesn't turn into avatarfagging, talking about how you want to rape pinkie pies asshole and such, I don't give a damn. Go right on ahead. I collected G3s and I hate the new series.

It's really upsetting to me that, as a girl, I can't be open about enjoying this franchise anymore thanks to Bronies. I don't think people realize how jarring it is to be side eyed for liking something feminine when you are a girl. As if its wrong or something. This wouldn't have happened years ago.

Bronies treat female fans like shit despite us having been around for much longer. None of these losers collected or cared before G4 and certainly weren't on MLPArena or the LiveJournal groups which hosted pony gijinka cosplay parties back in the day.

I just left a skype group last night because this one person who constantly starts shit with everyone for no reason called me an autist with daddy issues all because I used a Twilight Sparkle reaction face to my ex texting me. It was the one and only fucking time I had ever done anything MLP in the chat. I know people would say not to leave, but I really don't feel like dealing with this anymore. You can't even go to the /pone/ board because they're a bunch of closet misogynists who try so hard to act like they aren't catty.

I had someone side-eye me and accuse me of being a brony because I described a pastel colored yarn as being My Little Pony color. Its the exact mix of pastels that the old 80s box art always had. Idk man it just makes me sad, I got into the collecting side of all this about ten years ago and it was such a nice community. There was drama, but it was so minimal compared to the doll hobby that I never noticed it. For the most part everyone acknowledged that we were being silly collecting little plastic horses and doing up whole rooms in pastels to put them in, there was no OMG SOMEONE CALLED MY DOLL CREEPY THEYRE LITERALLY THE DEVIL AND MY FRAGILE PSYCHE WILL EVER RECOVER. FIM came around with a pretty consistent reaction of "eh its aiight", until we were suddenly flooded with men and no one could figure out wtf was happening for like 4 months.

Yknow I have realized, bronies are to 80s girls what the Avengers Tumblr fandom is to comic book geeks. Obnoxiously loud minority that makes the entire community suspicious of anyone vaguely fitting the profile.

See, this shit right here is exactly what pisses me the fuck off. I saw an adorable shot glass with Firefly G1 on it in Spencers and an 80s MLP hoodie online that I now feel like I can't even get because of these fuckers. My aunts grew up on the show, too. We're allowed to like this shit. We're girls. It was designed with us in mind. I wouldn't even care if guys were into MLP, so long as they didn't try to fucking act like martyrs or creeps about it. Unfortunately, so many of them are prone to doing exactly that and they despise the earlier generations with a passion. They claim that it never had male characters when it most certainly did. Hello, fucking Big Brother Ponies. Big Mac in G4's design is only based off of them, dipshit.

And, it really chaps my ass because for how many years did girls get shit for liking video games, TMNT, or inherently "male" shit from these fuckers and yet they're allowed to shove themselves into the MLP fandom?

Also, has anyone else but me noticed that so many of the molds and customs come from like Brazil and the UK? What's up with that?

I'm culling my collection soon. Have at least 150 of the little plastic bastards and there's no way I can ship them all cross country. Sad day, but theyve been boxed for two years so lot of good its doing.

Theres a few G3s in here so hey have at it once they're up. I have zero idea what the G3s are, they were gifts. The bulk of mine are G1.
