I find that my GPM stops at around 300 on supports and I am wondering how I can increase my farm on supports. Should I steal farm?

If you get a snowball on kills in the early game, pick up midas instead of whatever support item you were going to get. That gives you the money for observers whenever the purchase is on cooldown.

Depends on which support you pick, but if you're going something like Witch Doctor or Lina, then find someone else on your team who is willing to engage the enemy team.

Oh and when you get wards, place them at times relevant to your game. Around midgame, I like to place one at the cross in the pathway in the Radiant jungle. It's below the hard camp more to the right of the map. You'll know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, appropriate warding can lead to further engagements with solo enemies (can being the key term there). You can pick up a bit of assist gold and be gucci.

Some supports can easily farm the jungle without the rest of the team flaming them. Tidehunter is a pretty prime example of this, but you're usually getting other stuff than wards. Maiden sorta can if she gets the AoE thing. I forget what it's called, haven't played her in a while.

Or you could take the asshole jakiro route and stack a hard camp ten times, then using your ult to farm it all. ez reports, ez lyfe.

But I find the best way to have a decent gold income is to just have a team that sticks somewhat together outside of farming phase. Even if you don't go past 300 gpm, your xpm should make up for it.

Midas is good help. Generally speaking if you can get a midas before 15 min mark that's good. Gank assists work too. I'm a fan of TP boots because they save you the cost of TP scrolls and let you farm unattended lanes and TP in time to assist your teammates.

I also just "steal" farm if I know the carry isn't going to get that last hit. It pisses them off, but fuck them, I have enough experience with last hitting that I know when you're not going to get the kill. That's just gold going to waste otherwise. It always annoys me when a carry wants ALL the farm but lets last hits go to waste. If I see that happen enough, I just help myself to those last hits.

no. Stack constantly and use aoe skills to clear camps or pull if your carry doesn't clear them. Try not to die in fights, if you survive a fight (or at least try to survive until an enemy or two dies) you'll get a bunch of gold. carry 2 tps at all time - if you see an empty lane tp there and farm it. Remember that tps are stupidly cheap and if you get more than 2 last hits (should be easy if you tp to the safelane and clear some camps) you've gained gold.

Pull camps in the laning stage to get gold and XP independently from your carry while also pulling your safe lane back. It's win-win.

If you're pulling, you have to be sure that you get the hard camp as well. Otherwise, you risk a decent chance of pushing the lane even further.
