Do you guys usually stream when you play Dota? If so then link your stream I'll probably watch them every now and then.

I would but I'm going to end up coaching my buddy who's new while he streams.

He's into being competitive @ games. So he's gonna stream for some friends of ours so they can watch me berate and flame him for being a nob.

The most important setting is the bitrate, which will determine how much you'll upload to twitch per second. Higher bitrates mean a better picture but require better internet.

Goto speedtest.net to find out what your upload speed is in Megabits (Mb/s). Multiply that by 1000 to get Kilobits, and then multiply again by 0.7. This gives you 70% of your "upload capacity", or about what you should set your bitrate to. For example, if you have pretty shitty internet like me and only have an upload speed of 1 Mb/s (125 KB/s), you should set your bitrate to around 700 kilobits/s (or about 87.5 KB/s).

If your lagging in game, lower your bitrate until you don't lag anymore.

whenever I do stream, I stream through hitbox. It's a lot easier for me to go through than twitch.

I followed it and all I got was a black screen for the preview

How did you setup your obs scene? I don't think it works unless you use game capture.

You can do it game capture but I tend to use the window capture feature if that's the correct one. In order to do it that way though you have to play in border less window mode.

I'm not entirely sure if I'm correct though I'll post a screenshot of my settings when I get back to my PC but it should work that way.
