Alright, its Dildo Baggins with a big fukin announcment.

Not really. I just want to dedicate a thread to user made Hero guides/tips and tricks. Item tips to heroes, skill builds and general dota tips can go in this thread.

I will start out with a small meepo guide from me, I'm by no means pro, or even good. Just a 4k scrub, but here's what I've learned from approximately 200 games of meepo, in various brackets. my most recent being the game where I broke into 4k.

So here goes:

Skillbuild: Net or Poof first is really situational. Net can help secure a first blood at runes with another 2 seconds to beat on a poor dude, but W is good for securing lasthits in a bad lane, or even harass and lasthit against melee opponents.

There is one undisputed point to building meepo, and that is: POOF SHOULD ALWAYS ALWAYS BE MAXED FIRST. You will have 1 point in Net and Geostrike by the time its maxed, but never more. Poof always maxed first. Then, it personal preference if you want to max Net or Geostrike. I like Maxing geostrike for faster farming and killing, but you might need more Net against mobile opponents or fast ones. Level ult at every chance.

Item builds: First items that are good include:

Starting items: Whatever mix you like best of these: Tango, Shield, Branch, Salve, Ring of Protection. If you're going mid you can get a poor mans shield and make team giff tangoes.

Early game: Treads, Bottle, TP SCROLLS. Tp scroll is important. Getting kills on dumbasses who dive under tower is awesome.

Core items: Aghs, Blink, Boots of Travels, Scythe of Vyse.

Flavor items: Ethereal blade, Etheral blade, Etheral blade, Skadi and Diffusal blade. Did I mention ethereal blade? I love etheral blades.

Avoid these items: Vlads, Heart, Assault Cuirass, Mekanism, any items that don't provide agi or str. Vlads is an item for any of the supports to get, and assault is for your position 2. Mek and Heart is just plain bad.

Playing the Meepoes.

Laning: Meepo is a strong laner from level 3 and on. 4 seconds of small aoe disable and a 160x2 nuke is pretty good. Use the usual stuff like pulling creeps towards you, actively denying to keep the lane in place. Don't poof for lasthits unless you have to. You don't really want to have to sit with both meepoes in lane. Stack jungle camps, go for runes, go gank if you feel its safe enough. DON'T DIE. Dying as meepo slows you down a lot. Don't be risky. Get a fast aghs.

After Aghs:

Farm the entire map After your blink, farm with everyone but the main Meepo, and then you go around looking for ganks. Ganks for days. Days for ganks. You gank and gank and gank. Almost noone can survive your gank if you bring the appropriate items. The typical gank avoiding heroes like Queen of Pain and Anti-Mage die easily to you. But you do have to be careful with the burst damage queen can deal. if you land the net she is usually dead. Do not gank if the one you're ganking is the only one visible on the map. Dying for a kill is not worth it. As Meepo you have a lot of networth and levels, them killing you gives them A LOT OF GOLD AND EXP.

Here's the rest: After Scythe:

You can literally kill any hero in the game if you get a good timing on the Scythe. They can't fight back either. This allows you to easily kill the heroes meepo normally experiences trouble with, like PA and Troll because of miss chance.

After boots of travels:

Booties is really really good on meepo. Each clone has an induvidual cooldown on the boots, and this means you have tinker levels of mobility around the map. Tp'ing in on the next wave coming in on someone who's farming and instantly blink poofing on that poor sucker is very… satisfying. Sometimes, with low mobility heroes, you can tp in on the wave they are clearing. Greedy idiots will stay to "just take one more lasthit" and you will kill them.

Stacking E-blades

Or, my prefered way of playing. One E-blade on a lvl 17 aghs meepo is about equivalent to a rapier in damage. it gives + 200 damage and + 200 attack speed and + 4 armor. That is a lot. With 3 E-blades you will eat through a back door protected tower in seconds. If you are alone, six slotted as you should be at the 30-ish minute mark, against the enemy carry, who is now 3-4 slotted, and you blink poof in, scythe, net and start hitting then you will, 10/10 times kill him with 2 eblades on you. this works against six slotted carried too, except Medusa and Spectre. These guys fuck everyone late.

E-Blade Maths:

Lvl 25 six slotted meepo has (23+(1.9*25) Agility. Thats 70.5 Agility. 71 damage, for simplicity, and 71 attack speed. Agility from items: 10 from aghs, + 10 from Scythe +40*2 from 2 E-blades and boots of travels and blink, nothing. So thats 100 agility from items.

Base Damage of Meepo is 19 average. 171 damage and attack speed from agility items makes his damage per attack 190. Formula for DPS from attacks in dota 2, disregarding armor is: 1/BAT*(100+IAS)*attack damage(*5 for meepo if only agility items.) . Putting in meepos stats gives us:

1/1.7*(100+171)/100*190*5 = 1514 Physical damage per second. Reduced by armor of the target of course. This is A LOT. over the 3.5 seconds of disable scythe gives you can deal 5299 damage. Holy shit.

Farming with meepo: Meepo is one of the best farmers in the game. With 3 meepoes you can, and should, clear jungle every single minute. You simply walk up to a camp with 2 meepoes and you double poof that shit. Easiest gold of your life. Most camps need a few rightclicks to finish, and no one likes mud golems. He also clears stacks easily, so ask someone to stack, or stack yourself while laning. When clearing a stack, walk in and poof with 2 meepoes, then walk out until you have poof again. Don't take unnecessary damage trying to kill them with right clicks early, 2 poofs is enough. Pre 7 minutes you clear a creep wave with 2 meepoes poofing, after that they need one right click afterwards. when double poofing a wave, attack each creep once to avoid the risk of a ranged attack killing it at the last second or something equally annoying.

I made a super shitty map in paint real quick so I can pump this out, its pretty basic.

Green = dire Safe

Red = Dire Mid

Yellow = Radiant Safe

Blue = Radiant Mid

As you can see pretty clearly, radiant has the safe and mid lane advantage in laning, as they have easier access to jungle, but this is even out with the rosh advantage of dire.

This is the basics and everything I can remember for now. I also included some proof that I'm not a total shitter.

Sick math bro. But really, instead of making a new thread I'll ask here and hope someone can answer me:

How the FUCK do I play Earth Spirit? I need to gain some mmr and my micro is shit. Please help

You just turned this into an Abysseon summon thread.

 No.2599

You are probably ready to bring the ring on Mount Doom.

If you think by learning to kick few stones will make your mmr go up, then you're mistaken. If that was the case, his winrate wouldn't be alltime second lowest. This doesn't mean you cant rekt people with this hero, you just have to be good at him.

If you dont have time and patiece to learn this hero, then go play undying if you want to boost your mmr. But if you're really stubborn and want to learn him regardless, i guess i can share some tips.

First of all learn how this hero works, practice his abilities and some combos http://imgur.com/a/iJ6wN. You should probably start by playing against bots untill you feel comfortable with the hero. Then you have my permission to go suck against other players.

You should probably watch pro players like Jeraxai play him or just watch my games and learn from them.

I will probably make a guide on Earth Spirit at some point. I still need to experiment few things in this patch and atm. i dont feel like posting some half-assed guide on him, that im going to regret later.

Until then glhf.

Thanks a lot! I will be dedicated. And fuck undying. I see that piece of shit in every single game.

Also, anyone here who can share some high level laning tips/tricks? I often get outlaned and I have to rely on outfarming them in the midgame, instead of being ahead from the start..

>I often get outlaned and I have to rely on outfarming them in the midgame, instead of being ahead from the start.

That's usually how it goes.

The priority of attacks for cores should be last hits > harass > denies and for supports, it's harass > denies > last hits.

"Instant lane win" heroes are

>Sniper

Can last hit from a safe distance, strong harass, headshot procs can prevent the enemy from getting last hits. Consider buying a bottle to spam Assassinate.

>Luna

Easy last hits with passive, strong harass with Q

>Viper

Strong harass with Q, Corrosive skin punishes enemies for harassing/retaliating, easy last hits with Nethertoxin

>Huskar

Strong harass with burning spears

>Skywrath Mage

Strong harass with Q

>Clinkz

Easy last hits/strong harass with W

>Axe

Creep skipping in the offlane, somewhat possible in mid

>Silencer

Strong harass, an early point in W can make last hitting easier

>Razor

W can potentially make you the strongest hero on the field at level 1, while leaving an enemy with 0 attack damage, Q punishes heroes for keeping their distance from you, E adds survivability and punishes targeted spells

>Templar Assassin

Survivability from Q and W, Q also provides good harass and easy last hits, E allows Templar to harass from a distance

Heroes who can lane effectively in any lane

>Magnus

>Queen of Pain

>Silencer

>Weaver

>Windranger

>Puck

>Kunkka

>Clinkz

>Bloodseeker

>Invoker

>Phoenix
