"Io, you panicked a lot and didnt tether. You made a breathtaking save-Doom play after he killed the fed morph solo, but you didn't have your lightrod up my ass the entire game. You are a noob."

"Doom, you got ganked in the jungle and died thrice before you got aghs. Also you didn't help us and you stayed in the jungle doing nothing. You are a douchebag and a noob."

"Troll, you are playing the most OP hero in the game atm and aren't carrying me, which means I have to carry. Noob."

"Who fuckin plays Earth Spirit? Noob."

-Gyrocopter, 3-2-2 @ 25 minutes in.

 No.2260

A bit of a side note, you can't play Io in anything other than really high MMR matches, espexially in solo queue. It'll never work out, even if you play well.

Sounds like he made some okay points. Io should be focusing on saving the people that need it, and similarly buffing the people that need it. Usually focusing on carries. Doom shouldn't be dying freely. It's not like he's got to pay attention to "afk right clicking creeps and using devour on cooldown". I honestly think that part of the advantage of a jungler like doom is he should be constantly watching the map. Troll shouldn't lose games given how stupidly fucking strong that hero is. I played a game on that hero, a SINGLE GAME and immediately realized how stupidly strong it is. Strong laning, good farming, incredible push, survivable, does a lot of damage. I don't know why he's flaming an earth spirit like that. It's a strong hero. Though, similarly, strong. Not as strong as troll and FAR less idiot proof, but, strong enough, and certainly a solid offlaner.

Sure he's toxic and calling people names for no good reason but that doesn't automatically make all his points invalid.

>>2260

this is mostly valid. though if you're confident on the hero and you have a carry on your team that synergizes at all with a wisp, how else are you gonna practice it?

I died a lot that game, they kept warding jungle after I dewarded it and just basically ran a train on me. I did horrible. You are missing my point. What I am saying is not to call people out when you arent doing well either. Io did good that game, made some mistakes but had some great relocate/overheat timing. Troll did almost as bad as me but maybe he's new to troll, I'm newish to Doom. Earth Spirit absolutely rekt his 2v1 lane, it was wp. That was some impressive mlg remnant play that I sure as hell cant do. Mistakes were made, that's all.

I was the wisp in this scenario, and that gyrocopter was an asshole.

He might be a dick, but listen to what he's saying. Overall, it's good advice.

If this is the most you have to complain about, your games must be fucking amazing.

This was a 43 minute game.

I'm not going to comment on individual play that much here. I haven't watched the replay, and I'm not going to.

But, a very important thing to note here is that the sniper has not a single significant +hp item. He should have been food.

Even if the gyro was not being 'nice', I think it's important to note that the things that he was saying were not necessarily false. You clearly did not perform well. The gyro outperformed all of you on almost every metric. And he clearly wasn't just afk farming, he did more hero damage than anyone but the earth spirit. I can tell all that from your items, gpm, xpm, just the stats on dotabuff. Even something as simple as "the abaddon didn't die". With four people in a stack, that just means shit coordination, or bad judgement, or bad priorities.

But like, doom right. You started the thread so I'll give you some specifics. You have free gpm with devour. You bought a midas. Despite either of these, your gpm was awful and 40 minutes in you weren't even level 16.

From level 7 (presuming you max devour which is standard), devour, eating a 40 gold creep every time, plus a midas, (which you usually get by 7 in the jungle) results in 324 gpm. Your endgame gpm was 304.

A midas, used on cooldown on a large camp large creep, grants 178 xpm. Devouring a large creep small creep will give you an average of about ~80 xpm. Your endgame xp was 276.

I understand you don't start the game with level 7 or the midas, so I can excuse being a little lower than either of those, but it's as though you didn't even hit a single creep between midasing and devouring.

You did not perform well. He is not wrong to call you out on being, basically, a shitter.

>>2266

This is more or less the right approach. Though muting people in your games can be a quick path to not being able to communicate at all, which can be an important part of winning any games ever.

You seem agitated. Again, for what, the second time? I am not denying I played like shit. It's obvious that you didn't watch the replay though, because I farmed my ass off. Did you know that when you die, you lose gold?

 No.2276

>>2274

The mute advice is best for people who complain about constantly getting foreigners (which they probably aren't, but whatever)

Hide flamers; focus on farming patterns, ward placement, general game improvements. Remember, the only factor you can control is you. You can't decide what your team picks, what the enemy teams picks, or how anyone plays. This doesn't mean there aren't trolls and garbage players, but you aren't perfect yourself. Pro players usually only win 55% of their games. You will lose roughly 4/10 games if you are improving.

No one here is trying to pick on you or put you on the spot. We all have advice for you and it's your choice if you want to accept it or not. You have a problem, we have a solution. Being a smartass towards people who are trying to help isn't going to get you out of the skill bracket that you complain about so much.

>It's obvious that you didn't watch the replay though, because I farmed my ass off.

We don't have to watch a replay to tell you that 2.3 last hits per minute is bad on a item-dependent carry like Doom. Even if we all watched your replay, we know it's a waste of time because you're not willing to listen to what we said in the first place.

Gold is good. Dying is not good. Work something out.

I give up, you aren't listening and then try and turn it around and say I am not listening. You still have not offered any help at all besides "don't die" still didn't watch shit, and still have not even paid attention to the fact I'm not even denying that I did bad at all. GGWP

>>2275

lmao why would i be agitated i'm not the one that had an effective gpm of -20

If you farm your ass off for 40 minutes you'll end up with a higher gpm than 300. Even if you die. A significant part of playing a core hero is, in fact, not dying. So you've gotta combine those ideas. Farm, and not die. Learn what engagements you can and cannot take. Develop some map awareness. It's clear you've still got some work to do in those respects.

>>2283

I stated that I didn't watch the replay and I wasn't going to. This isn't mean to snub you, I'm just out of town and on a shitty laptop.

to touch on what we "aren't listening to"

>>2269

>don't call people out when you aren't doing well either

if I'm 2/6/4 on lion and my slark is 1/10/1, I feel rather okay saying that while I'm not doing well, I'm doing better than the slark. I'll avoid flaming him until the game is 100% unwinnable and I no longer care, but I'll still give him advice like "maybe don't push solo push into a techies without detection".

The gyro very clearly did better than you. Not great still, but better than the rest of the team, certainly.

With this in mind, maybe you should listen to what he has to say. Just because he didn't carry you, doesn't mean it's he's doing poorly, or that it's his fault you lost.

Feel free not to listen to him just blindly flaming, that's not constructive and doesn't help anything. But between all the flaming I'm sure there was at least one constructive comment. Maybe something along the lines of "why are you farming under their t2 with 4 heroes off the map"

Beyond that, we really are just trying to give advice and comments on what seems to have gone wrong on a larger scale. Things that you yourself can improve upon, since that's the only part of the game you have any direct control over.
