Excuse my manners but I wanna get to the point.

I am new here, just dicovered that a Dota 2 board exists in 8ch and I'm very glad about it, but browsong through some few threads I couldn't avoid noticing the community seams both, low in population and mmr. And I mean REALLY FUCKIGN LOW.

I'm not here to troll or piss off anybody, I'm just curious on how many of you guys are actually good at this game, (I consider myself average (at 4.3k mmr) or for some reason this community is composed mostly by 2ks or lower as it seams to me.

Again no intention to offend anyone.

I think the shitters like to be clear about letting everyone know that they're shitters, while the better players are more quiet and visit 8chan less frequently. I don't know who has the highest MMR, but I know we have one or two players around 5k.

If I had to give a number, I'd guess that the average MMR of 8chan players is around 2.5k, but everyone thinks they're fucking amazing. Clips from >>2912 and >>2920 were taken from some of our inhouses, to give you an idea of how bad some of us are.

Welcome to low ranked players.

They have a build strategy. And they keep trying it every game. They know there are item counters and shit for heroes, but nigger they don't have the time because they're busy farming up their cookiecutter items then losing because actually they needed counters harder than they needed to do their cookiecutter build.

But that's low MMR players for you. They follow their builds to a fault so the idea of picking up items just to shit over the enemy team can only mean luxury items to them. They couldn't possibly change up their core depending on the needs of the game.

Low mmr=/= low mmr mentality sometimes. I try to think I'm proof of that, but I still have a ways to go before I can execute everything the way I'd like it to go.

This. I have a low MMR friend who builds the same items in the same order on the same heroes every game and his excuse is always "It says core items!". Even in ranked matches, every teammate wants to buy MoM, Deso, and Shadow Blade. Even with Glimmer Cape in the game, supports still choose SB because they've never bought anything else. It's probably the worst thing about being in low MMR.

Hell if you're getting reamed by magic damage odds are a simple cloak (550 gold) would work wonders but you'd be surprised how many people are too busy farming their shit to get that and would rather die.

theres a wide range of skills on here. a lot of people are lower than you.

but surprise surprise: more than 50% of dota players are below 3k. expect any slice of the dota community to mostly reflect the bigger picture.

Even the funnest of funhouse mirrors can only look like what's in front of it.

We don't have an mmr requirement. Mostly we all just shitpost on here and play dota.
