Where are my fellow Meepo players?

How long did you practice in lobby before playing a real game?

What do you build?

How do your games usually go?

Why did you decide to learn Meepo?

What are some heros that combo well with him?

 No.751

I never played him in a lobby, I just randomly started playing him.

I still prefer tranqs over threads, then aghs blink rush and win.

Considering I am in realy low mmr my meepo games go too shit.

I watched a streamer and started playing Meepo, basicly any hero that needs stun setup works great with meepo

I've always wanted to learn how to play Meepo, so I've been practicing for the last few days by myself and it seems to go well. I still have an issue with microing as soon as I get my second Meepo. I feel like I might be able to pull him off, but being in 2.5K MMR (I just started playing a year ago), I feel like I might get BTFO and reported for whatever reason.

For me, I've been rushing Aghs while keeping naked boots followed by Blink rush. After that I've gone Treads, OoV, Skadi, Heart.

I might try playing him when I have time tomorrow with some friends in an actual match, but I don't want them to get pissy at me for picking him lol.

 No.786

Yeah I never played in a lobby, I just picked him in a pub once. My brother, who is a Meepo god, was sitting next to me giving me tips and telling me how he works, all that good stuff.

My first couple games were shit, but lately I've been getting pretty good at the Meeps. Unless there's a Lich in the game, because then I just start crying.

I rush Vlad's then get Agh's, and if the game's not over by that point I'll pick up a Heart or an Assault Cuirass. I never get blink dagger, I can never make the blink+poof work right. My bro says blink isn't that great on Meepo but he doesn't use control groups either, so IDK.

I learned Meepo cause he's awesome! I play pubs with my bro all the time and he plays Meepo for like half of them. Seriously he has like 300 games as him. So after numerous games of him just blowing up the enemy team I just decided that I wanted to learn how to do that.

Anyone with a stun or a snare goes really well with the Meeps. I've had great success laning Sven or Slark with Meepo.

>doesn't use control groups and doesn't think blink Meepo is good.
I've got some bad news for you anon.

I'm a shit Meepo player, but I've been doing a lot of theory crafting and watching a few high skill Meepo matches.

High Tier items:
Agh's - For the stats alone, this is a solid choice, but that isn't all it does and you should know that.
Blink - This helps so much for catching people. If you can manage the blink poof you'll roll in low rank matches. Blink + Ethereal Blade is better than Morph for shotgunning, early on.
Ethereal Blade - Gives a shit ton of right-click damage to all your Meeps, the active and makes your poof do a bajillion damage.
Sheepstick - Uses an ultimate orb so you get good stats, the active allows you to punch the shit out of people while they're a pig.
Boots of Travel - Do I need to explain Mappo to you?

Good Idea items:
Heart - Lots of strength on all the clones, but only the main gets the regen. If you need to tank up, this is probably the best option.
Assault Curiass - Good late game, crap early game. Auras only work on the main Meepo so when you're jungling with other Meepos they get NOTHING from this. Only useful when you're ganging on people.
Skadi - Tons of stats, passive isn't really worth it as geostrike is basically this with added damage.
Treads - They give stats, so…

Bad Tier:
Butterfly - Evasion and the stats from quarterstaff only on the main Meepo. If you want Agi just get a second E-Blade.
Vlad's - Take what I said about AC and put it into an item that's only good on carries in the early game.
Mek - Just don't. Have a support pick it up. If you're the support, pick a different hero.
Pipe - See Mek, but remove all the stats from it.
Tranquils - Want to sit around and not hit anything for 12 seconds so you can sit around and wait for regen? You can easily just micro a Meepo to base and poof out and in.

If anyone can think of other items people like on Meepo I'll add them to the list.

TL;DR: If you want to git gud with Meepo you are going to need to stack a lot of active items and not be shit at micro. Auras are worthless early on and decent later on.

 No.869

If you're quick with your fingers and I mean really really fucking quick. Force staff is better than blink. You can poof in a line, great for hitting several or all enemies in a team fight.

Heart, euls. mkb, mech, BoTs. You're golden

 No.870

>>869
outside of being able to force a meepo away from the fight i think blink is universally better

blink+hex is also the god combo. blink hex into 4 poofs, an earthbind and five meepos wailing into you = u ded

eblade does the defensive shit better anyway imo (plus gives +40 agi instead of +10 int)

 No.871

>>870
Single target yeah, blink+hex is great.
You must be playing at a pretty low mmr if you're going for single target assassinations enough to justify dropping nearly 8k in gold on two items that only allow you to kill one enemy.

wow ur right
making a lategame fight 4v5 really is total shit
i should rethink my understanding of dota

 No.873

>>869
>heart
>euls
>mkb

what is the purpose of any of these?

heart's good if you're shit at micro and want to just walk at heroes with 5 meepos
euls is literally just a worse sheep
mkb does nothing for the hero

I'll admit Force is the one item I didn't talk about in my long post directly above you. I guess it's because I never would have thought it was good.
Though after some testing I can assure you, it's not good. It's really just a less reliable blink on Meepo. That line of poofs your talking about does nothing but do like 400 damage to all the people in the area while leaving your Meepos scattered and unable to properly follow up on anything. At that point you would be better off doing something cheesy like Shadow Blade and running around while having the other Meepos poof on you.

Meepo is, ultimately, a hero that is meant to farm items fast and use your level and item advantage to destroy your opponent. You need to properly itemize to take ensure you don't lose this lead.

>>797
I forgot to add Manta and Sange and Yasha to that post I put above.

Eh Tier (Worse than Good, better than Bad):
Manta - You get decent stats from it, but the movement speed doesn't help. You can use the active to tricking enemies into blowing their load on illusions frequently.
Heaven's Halberd - The evasion does nothing for you, but the active is always useful and the decent bulk from the item is nice too.

Bad Tier:
Sange and Yasha - Decent stats, but the passives give you nothing. Just stack ultimate orbs if you need raw stats to sit on for awhile.

In short, almost every top tier Meepo ends the game like this: Treads, Agh's, Blink, Etheral Blade, Sheep. If there was more farming swap the bots and add any other item from the High or Good tiers.

Vlads isn't really ever worth it. other people can/should get a vlads for you. vlads is a wasted slot, it could've been a ethereal blade instead

>>869

What in the literal hell. Have you even ever played meepo? What the fucking shit. This shit is too fucking retarded I'm not even going to….

>>871

And you must be pretty fucking retarded thinking two of the best items on meepo are bad. wow.

>>875

This guy knows what he's talking about tho. Late game the meepo illusions are actually pretty decent, can almost solo a support and are great for slowly chipping away at towers.

Anyways, the meepo nerf in 6.84 was unwarranted, and the buff sucked. fuck you icefraud

 No.2592

>Pick meepo last because you're a cancerous fuck

>go mid with a poor mans shield and some tangoes

>get rekt mid because meepo sucks/rek a dumbass mid because he sucks ass

>go jungle lvl 7

>come out with blink aghs 5 min later

>buy scythe of vyse

>1v1 me rosh pit

>buy ethereal blades

>What is backdoor protection

>ez 70% winrate

>ez mmr

 No.2946

>>873

no, abyssal is a worse sheep. Euls is completely useless for meepo, this guy has no idea what he's talking about.

 No.2983

I played dota 1 somewhat when I was younger, and Tinker was my main back then, but as soon as I switched to Dota 2, I jumped on Meepo.

Fuck lobbies.

Used to build full aura (mek, treads, ac, etc), now I build phase boots, aghs, then either blink into skadi stacking, or just skadi stack.

My games usually go well.

I thought he was fun.

Bane, AA, Magnus, Dazzle.

 No.2984

>>2983

>Skadi Stacking

Try Ethereal Blade.
