Welcome to Drawfag Academy!

This is a place where both novice and seasoned drawtards can come and present their works to all to be criticized or to inspire others, or for any reason. All you need to join is to post something you've drawn recently.

I'm starting this academy because I want to learn to draw. Quite frankly, I suck. I also saw that many people on this board are here to pick up tips on how to get better. I thought that having a dedicated thread where people can showcase and critique their work would be a great place to do this. I also thought it would be great if an experienced drawfag would be a headmaster of sorts, but I didn't want to wait around for that person to show up, so I'm doing it myself. As you can see, I'm not very good at drawing myself. This was done with a graphite uni kuru toga pencil. I don't have a scanner, so I took a picture with my phone. If you're like me, then you might feel tentative and embarrassed about displaying your work for anyone to see, but until we improve, we just have to deal with it. I'm also heavily left brained, so don't feel discouraged!

If you're at a loss on what to draw, there are plenty of requests floating around on this board. Just find one and start drawing. Don't even think about it, just do it! You don't even have to show it to the requester if you don't want, just post it here to fill the halls of our great academy. It would also be appreciated if you share any resources you may come across online that gives tips and advice on how to improve. I thought it'd be fun to make a drawing board that focuses more on CJing and making requests, so that's what this is. I personally will be pretty lenient with the rules (Shown by the lack of actual rules), so you probably have to screw up pretty bad to get banned.

This is for all things you do yourself. Did you draw something in class, and you'd like us to go all /ic/ on it? We'll do it.
Rules have been updated. Anything artsy is allowed, but keeping it centered on drawing is highly encouraged.

I was starting to get a little bit bad to ask for something. Been following you on Tumblr and stuff as well.

It's been hard to describe a NPC for a Roleplay I'm starting, and your style looks great. So here is what I was shooting for…

I was thinking of combining the concepts of these two suits. Pretty much a flight suit as baggy as the typical fighter pilot, but with a vest like the first anime character (with sailor collar even). And her vest'll have pockets too, not on the belt. It'll even have the life preserver underneath the sailor collar (the padded collar on the pilot guy's survival vest).

What I was thinking is she is pretty well grown (even in breasts), with medium length hair, asian eyes, and some freckles. I know you'll not draw in color, so just having some lines on the suit to mark different sections of the suit (I might color this after it's done).

If you wanted to do a scene I was thinking of her holding her parachute over her head and body like a cloak, weeping a bit and embarassed as she just got shot down, looking soaking wet and the life preserver's inflated as she stands on deck after being fished out of the water.

The setting is a competetive dogfighting setting, where the pilots are larger than life and showy, reflective of pro wrestlers.

I've tossed in a couple extra examples for inspiration.
