It's a fun little sketch. It's good that the nose has structure. Pay attention to eye alignment, ear location, overall head structure and spaces.

Was this a copy from a photograph, or imagination?

A copy, before you say anything, yes I know that I just skipped the details in the ear and how you already said, I didn't pay much attention to spaces. I originally planned on making him look to the right side (like on the pic) but after I drew the eyes this wasn't possible anymore.

The hard problem (that I struggle with) is placement, proportion, angles, perspective, etc. Don't fret about details.

The space between the brow and ear was shrunk, which is a natural tendency when you want to make the eyes big. Basically the 'side' of the head.

Greetings.

I decided to lurk around this place for a bit because I was thinking of trying to learn how to draw, now that I got some fancy tablet with a wacom digitizer.

So I saw this picture and thought "let's see if we can copy it somehow" and this came out.

Now, I'm not asking how did I do (I know I need to practice), but are there any resources that could help me improve on this sort of stuff?
