how many different versions of the yukkuri sim are there? the version i have obviously has some fan made additions because the art style is amateurish and doesn't match reimu, marisa and alice.

There are three main versions, if I remember correctly.
The original English version
The Japanese version
And the new English version, which was built on localising the Japanese version

This version was the original English version that was since dropped. The new English version the first reply mentioned is the Shitaraba release that is overall better in quality and content. I don't know the current progress in translation but I know the work on it hasn't been dropped and is currently in progress, albeit slowly. Look up the SimYukkuri thread up on The Other Place and you'll find the latest in news about it.
