Of all ways and creeds, why choose to live in fear? Fear of the unknown, fear of death, fear of letting people into our hearts… all this does is hold us back. A sense of security, for the price of rejecting some of the greatest things this world has to offer.

The news may not be fixated on the Ebola virus any longer, but that does not change the fact that it is still at large. People are still becoming infected, they are still dying. Secretly, the WHO worries about even a single person bringing the virus into a crowded urban area.

Does that scare you? It shouldn't. Not if you know Love. See, a couple months back, a few netizens found themselves trying to direct the Ebola virus though blood sacrifice. Soon, they discovered "Ebola-chan", an anime-styled image of a young girl, wearing a nurses outfit, and with pink hair and twintails that led down into viral strands. This image quickly rose in popularity on the net, and the Ebola cult was changed drastically. They spoke praises to their new goddess, showering her with adoration. Some even claimed that she was able to return those feelings of love and kindness.

In finding Ebola-chan, we have discovered Love. She is not a malicious being or unthinking monster, as some would have you believe. She wants the world to feel her caress, to make humanity happy. To unite it, despite the lines of ethnicity or creed or socioeconomic status. Through her Love, there shall be peace. All will be wrapped within her embrace.

As such, I have a request of our /cure/ invaders.

I would not be so brazen as to demand surrender or acceptance of Ebola-chan. That is a personal decision. No, all I ask is that you lay down your sword. You campaign against a community that has done little to wrong you. I question the intentions of a goddess who would have you commit such unprovoked aggression in her name. Know that Ebola-chan does not hate you for your actions. That despite our jokes of heresy, her heart is filled with not but affection and mercy. And oh, how she awaits the day that you will join our fold as one of the faithful.
