Personally, I just think anything will be better than the track we're collectively headed on. If most of humanity dies out, maybe the survivors will rebuild mankind, and do it better this time. If we go extinct, so be it. Maybe that'll give the planet a chance to recover, and start working on other candidates for sentience.

That said, if even a single city gets graced with the full glory of by Ebola-chan, frivolous politics will be irrelevant for a while. The nation will lose an entire taxbase, be forced to actively shut down and quarantine the city. The people will flee regardless, desperately migrating their loved ones. Someone will do so while carrying the virus, and onward it will spread.

A large amount of urban folk would probably survive. It's the rest of the nation that will be impacted by those ripples..

Of course, any innawoodsmen, farmers, hunters, etc. do have a better chance of survival once the infrastructure goes to hell.

I've tried to hold back my frustration, to prevent myself from leaking any info that could be used against our dearest goddess. I've tried not to be hateful of my fellow man. But… it just has to be said.

Of all the hooks she has in me, the deepest one is my anger at mankind's apathy. I mean, if you asked any normalfriend about Ebola-chan just as a concept, they'd tell you she's morally abhorrent. An insensitive joke. What of the people who understand, however? The people who are capable of seeing that we are very serious in our faith? What have they done to stop her, to stop us?

You know what all of this has in common? No one bothered to understand us, or even go to the proper extent to stop us. No one has put forth the proper effort. They haven't even made significant sacrifice for the sake of defending humanity.

This doesn't make sense, though. If Ebola-chan truly is so horrible, if humanity is worth defending… shouldn't it actually try to preserve itself? It should be trying to go down swinging. Instead, we get half-assed counter attacks and shitposters.

Mankind has no heroes. No one willing to put a stop to this. This isn't like any of my movies, stories, or Japanese anime, where some part of humanity pulls up its righteous sword and cancels the apocalypse. If Humanity won't defend itself, if it refuses to do so… it will rightfully die.

Worst of all, is the suspicion that we Ebolites, who understand the cult, who understand each other, who understand her, that we're the only ones properly equipped to put an end to this. Yet, no one talks about it, few of us ever remark upon any regret we may have. Us, the only ones who can stop this, are the ones who are trying to make it happen. I do not begrudge any of you, though. We all have our reasons for wanting to end the world as we know it, or at least for our own deaths.

We represent the part of humanity that WANTS death. Why does the "good", the "side of life", why does it not fight us properly? Why can't it? Is this how we are to end? Not with a bang, but with a whimper and a sigh? The conclusion to a race that couldn't be bothered to justify its own existence to itself, and so it slowly and quietly lets itself be consumed?

I think that's kinda of an overstatement and maybe a little vane. We mostly just try or do our best to understand.

To be more honest with ourselves we are probably just deep down glad we can share our facetious yet unironic desire for the end, or at last purging, of the world in a pleasant environment full of friendly people and cheerful loveliness.

I understand the history of the cult all too well. It was never supposed to become something real, nor go as far as it has. Some of the things we do… they're hard to rationalize, I'll give you that. I've always been a bit of an occultfriend, though. My attention was drawn when /pol/ocks started bleeding on pictures of Africa, in a very primitive yet direct act of magic. Everything thereafter was just icing on the cake.

Perhaps I should have gone full-thrust with the reference, said that "there are no heroes left in man". Which isn't to outright call them the good guys, but to say that no defenders of mankind's survival arise against us. This disappoints me greatly when I see the amount of anger sent towards Ebola-chan. With that outcry, you would think that they would at least try to find us, to fight us, and put forth real effort in doing so. Instead, if what you say is true, that the mirror was never even created by them… it means that mankind is so complacent that it would rather die out than attempt to stop its destroyer. Nor does it find those whom wish it dead worth 'redeeming'.

Of course, I must take a step back, and put this all into perspective. I hope she dies. Really. If for no other reason than just because Cameron has said Cafferkey has become his primary cause of worrying. Thousands of men (even Britons) risking their lives and dying in Middle-East. Fuck it. A SINGLE female volunteer who knew she was taking a risk: primary concern of the Prime Minister (i.e the fucking state itself) all of sudden. Stalin was right. One death is a tragedy.
