 No.51

A collaborative effort to create a fully functional design, from the ground up, for something to help disabled people.

People in wheelchairs can get cold and often have difficulties doing things. I think having hot drinks on tap would be a nice thing.

Idea #2: Cripple Golf. Golf cart/chair with a golf ball mortar.

 No.52

With a fully functional design you can approach companies to donate or get involved in the manufacturing of this product. Wheelchairs could be sold and all profits would be recycled into making more and/or given to charities and organizations of someone's choice.

Only a real kike would steal a design like this to exploit the disabled.

I have no idea when it comes to the legal and intellectual property stuff involved in something like this.

who /solidworks/ here?

Just got finished installing SW2015 with all of the add-in packs.

I don't think I've ever experienced a slower installer, literally over 3 hours. I don't know if it is my computer being particularly faulty this time but it was slow.

Program itself works great.

Don't know about sharing a direct link to the torrent, Britfags would probably get arrested for having it in their cache. Daily reminder to torrent behind a VPN.

Spoke too soon.

Flow simulation is crashing.

Fug.

I've had to go back to SW2012 to use flow simulation again.

Use KERS to generate a baseline of heat.

This should be a very simple calculation.

Kinetic energy of a wheelchairman reaching the bottom of a hill = Joules

Number of Joules to raise the temperature of 1000 mL 20ºC water to 99ºC = "Sneaky" Joules

PE = mgh

50kg person at the top of a hill with a total height of 10m = 50 * 9.81 * 10 = 4900J

It takes 1 kcal to heat 1L of water 1ºC

Energy required to heat 1kg of 10ºC water to 100ºC

90ºC * 1 * 1 = 90 kcal

1 kcal = 4184 Joules
90 kcal = 376,560 Joules

Height of hill required to have this much energy
PE / mg = h

376,560 / (50 * 9.81) = 768 m
376,560 / (100 * 9.81) = 383 m

It feels like I'm doing something very wrong. I intuitively thought you wouldn't need a hill anywhere near that size. Intuition is usually a really bad thing when it comes to physics but I don't really trust my math right now.
