Let's remember October 2010 and 2011. Yes take a moment to remember the "Golden Age" as we love to call it. Good? Ok now let's compare the atmosphere of the /co/ pony threads between timelines.

We often say 2010, early 2011 was a better time for the community, as in we had more quality and charming people compared to the summer of 2011 when every spaghetti brony started joining and getting vocal. I distinctly remember a poll on Equestria Daily showing that most of the users came in the summer 2011 and they greatly outnumbered the ones before the summer.

I remember when Ponychan back in March used to be a decent/acceptable place. It had /co/mrades and fa/tg/entlemen browsing it at the time and there were far more anons than tripfags. I think I have a thread of it archived somewhere showing exactly what was going on in it.

Though what we call quality, is mediocrity. It's only quality if we compare it to the lowest denominator. As such /tg/ is still overrated as fuck and the /co/ pony threads weren't all that great. If anything our greentext writers are much more contributing than the meme creators and shipping charts fags.

Sadly the mods of Ponychan were far more terrible than FIMchan. God how I wish /co/'s FIMchan had become more popular. Now it's dead since 2013. Their mods would have kicked out the tripfags and the /b/read. Hell most of the /b/tards came from /b/ and /b/imbos are responsible for inviting reddit over, as well as taking our memes seriously and being assholes to everyone who pointed out how retarded they are.
God did I hate the idiots who fell for their bullshit.

What I hate about /b/read recruiting bronies is that they invite every idiot without quality checking. Same way they invited Reddit and Tumblr. I despise anti-bronies becoming bronies. It shows how weak and manipulatable they are. Plus often times ragefags are degenerates/shit people which have nothing to contribute to the fandom. Often times these obnoxious anti-bronies actually became the future spaghetti-spilling bronies singing winter wrap up on their way to the pizza hut.

But there was one thing/one type of contributer they had which we don't have anymore.

Illustrators, Photoshoppers, Sony Vegas, Movie Maker users which edited videos on Youtube. Otherwise putting a lazy captcha/a few words on an image is easy as fuck and can be done in MSPaint.

You can half blame the absence of funny and good edits on the latter seasons shitty scripts, animators, storyboarders for the lack of ideas.

The other thing they have which we don't… is being funny. They had more charm than us and knew how to tell a joke. As such depressed anti-social autists can't be funny/charming worth a damn. Hence mood of the fandom got worse. Hence the fan creations got worse too, the Pony Anthology series got shittier, always trying to add 90 minutes when they only had substance worth for 20 minutes.

Oh yeah everybody applauded them(some of them) for being good editors when it came to syncing the audio with the pony visuals. The editors even took their sweet time to manually edit the lip sync of the ponies. Others couldn't do this properly even if their life depended on them.
Not every single one was a genius director, but there were enough artists to produce a decent amount of videos. Maybe some higher up could have found them, they could have landed jobs as directors, this shit takes some talent and vision to make it flow properly. Then again they only made 1 successful video out of luck & effort, as you can see every guy only made about one properly synced video.

and if anything the Minecraft fandom was much more enthusiastic than the pony fanbase. Which is kinda hard to believe because of the obnoxious attitude of the fandom since the beginning. But it's logical, the bronies took it as a joke. Yeah even the retards who took our memes seriously weren't really very into it and just jumped on the ride to feel accepted, hence the bandwagonning effect. Even Minecraft was more socially acceptable as a game hence more subs, more likes, more taken risks for everyone to find out what you watch, compared to the pony artists which kept deleting their artwork, blogs, accounts so nobody may find them out.

The MC fans' motivation of love greatly outweighted the bronie's ironic love and piss-poor motivation to feel hipster and just jump on it because they're too retarded to judge. That and fucking ponies, guy. Who the shit watches a cartoon show for more than 2 days and doesn't quit afterwards? With Minecraft you can play it forever and the mods actually affect the game. In our case we never had animators good enough to create our own episodes.

And that is all the regurgitation of information for today.
