Well, I didn't know this other website, but things at Chyoa are pretty simple (in a good way).

The idea of the site is that you can browse through the threads that compose the story that you're reading and add new threads at any moment. All threads end with a question about what happens next, and all the following threads (possible scenarios) answer these questions and move the story forward. The original author will revise your text and then decide about its approval.

You can easily create a profile, which allows you to mark and follow your favorite stories and your own stories, getting notifications every time something you wrote is approved or if someone else wrote something or made a comment in one of your stories.

You can see people's stories and threads by visiting their profile pages too.
