Spirit stones are found in several places throughout the world, and nobody knows how many there are, but at least a dozen have been discovered so far. Each are unique, but always surrounded with life, and simply being near one fills you with energy and drive.

It's rumored that when the gods created the world, these stones acted as the seeds of life, it's customary to pray or meditate at one if you plan on having a child. Some of the more adventurous couples out there have found that making love in close proximity to one all but guarantees insemination.

I fucking love the idea of floating islands, but i always imagined them moving about, them being static enough to build a bridge like that image seems "implausible".

At their core is a highly condensed crystal charged with magic, but they have a will of their own and always follow the flow of mana. Attempts at controlling the island often led to it falling apart, like two locomotives connected and accelerating in different directions.

The crystal cannot be mined either, any exposure will lead to a quick eroding until all of it vanishes into the aether, the island becoming just a pile of rock and crashing down back to earth.

Their size also varies greatly, farmhouse sized islands are more common than ones great enough to support an entire kingdom. This has made these floating islands unpractical for war efforts, albeit they still serve as strategic point for some kingdoms as safe base. They are mostly inhabited by merchants, wizards and beastfolk depending on their location.

Though there is one large island, aptly named "The Floating Carnival" that always brings delight to wherever it drifts. As the name implies, it's a big carnival filled with fun rides, entertaining shows, and markets selling exotic items from far-off lands. Whenever the carnival floats over in the general vicinity of a city, a huge swarm of people in gliders fly down to ferry people to and from the place. This has, on two major occasions thus far, been met with violence as the city thought they were being raided by sky pirates. Though now that it's become a lot more well known, these incidents are far less common

Hmm, I thought this thread would be more popular. Kinda like the whole ero empire thing. Except instead of warring with eachother, we're working together. Though there's not much stopping it from becoming warring kingdoms eventually. We just need some kingdoms first.

You know what, I think I'll go ahead and bring this out. After all, this is an entire fantasy setting, not just nationbuilding.

Gaudium is the god of joy. Also known as the Prince of Pleasure or the Sultan of Sensuality, Gaudium's ideals are actually not entirely based around sex. His followers are primarily placed in six color-coded categories, each representing a way that people can be happy:

Red is love, both brotherly and romantic. There will always be a red sigil at weddings

Orange symbolizes games, theater, and anything else created solely for entertainment. Also on betting chips.

Yellow embodies power and excitement, be it the rush of combat or the thrill of discovering something new. His paladins are marked by yellow emblems

Green is a subtly joy, that of being comfortable, safe and content. A favorite of nurseries and insurance salesmen

Blue represents dreams, meaning both sleep and hope. Pray to a blue symbol when you're feeling down

Purple, last of all, celebrates art and creativity. This one goes hand in hand with Orange, but stems from creating something new, rather than enjoying something already created

Gaudium has temples in many places, though views of him are not always positive due to the fact that he gives a thumbs up to underage and interspecies, so long as it's not rape. There is a high temple devoted to each color, and in each high temple lives the corresponding high priest(ess), bearing a related holy artifact.
