Well, I ain't gonna mention names, but if it makes you feel better, he's on Mabinogi and I'm pretty sure I'm only one of two people here that plays it.
I've known him for a week or so and so far I've gathered the following:
>is a guy, plays a grill (but the same goes for me)
>is making a dramatic, intense rp with lovecraftian horrors in a mostly lighthearted guild setting (he legit describes an antagonist as "the red blobby thing from saya no uta")
>is apparently writing a novel using his RP characters, and is implied to be using the setting as well. I suspect he's writing other peoples' characters without their consent
>has one time tried to make a guild rp where our characters have to fight evil in the american midwest (where, as it happens, he lives irl)
>is crushing IRL on a player who is a lesbian after having an IC relationship with her character
>has been refused by said person, according to him, only due to being a guy (the IC relationship ended the same way since his character changed genders at one point. Its not like going tranny, it's actually a somewhat more common thing in this setting. Basically the PCs are inherently genderless immortal souls and we get to "rebirth" into whatever physical form we want)
>insists that she'd be on him faster than greased lightning if he was a grill
>feels the need to pour his heart out to me every so often, even though I tell him repeatedly there's not much I can say to help him and that I'm pretty lousy at addressing romantic issues
>Firmly believes that native american wilderness spirits are responsible for the accident that left his right hand crippled and the rest of his body in poor shape. I swear I'm not making this up.
My interaction with the lezzy player he's still crushing on is rapidly leading towards some steamy girl-on-girl with some cosplay fetish thrown in (my char's a tailor). So I pretty much get the impression he feels like I'm cucking him even though he already had his chance and things didn't work out.
The biggest difference is that our carpet-munching friend doesn't seem to realize I'm not a girl. I tend to leave it unsaid because it shouldn't be important, but according to this guy, she will likely lose all interest in RPing with me at all if she finds out. I think I've stumbled into a right mess
