I think it's more about getting into practice with as many people as you can. Don't worry so much about the mistakes and read over our successful sessions to learn what it is that you're doing right. Some people even like to ask for critiques afterwards, so you can try that if it's helpful. I personally think it takes away from the allure of the session.

I'm surprised to hear that you're having trouble with the OOC lewds, that shit is the best. It's great to not have to worry about a relationship with someone while enjoying the benefits of getting intimate.

What exactly do you think is bad about what you do?

A lot of people are iffy about OOC dirty talk/cybering and what have you, and it's completely understandable. A lot of ERPers (especially on F-List) are nutbags who love them some drama, and nothing stirs up drama like having an internet waifu on a site designed for people to slut it up.

F-list has a lot of mentally unstable people who will develop feelings OOC, it's pretty fucking weird and I've deleted a character over it. So people avoid OOC shit generally.

OP, I feel ya, I honestly do.

But Flist is filled to the brim with Autismo shit lords that ruin it for everyone else. Most people fuck off when even the slightest bit of OOC 'rp' gets involved because the average shmuck takes it as "Finding their true love" or some shit. Your problem probably isn't you, it's just the environment.

It's bizarre how attached people get. Unless I intentionally wanted to be involved in a yandere/obsessed partner type thing, that's an enormous turn off and honestly just plain weird.

I liked doing the whole "blurred line between IC and OOC" thing until people got attached. Maybe it's because I was generally dominant and they were subs, so they got clingy as subs tend to. I might give it another shot from a submissive standpoint and see if I like it any better, I dunno.

It does get weird though sometimes, even for me. Some people start calling me master and the like after just a day, or say that they really like me, and I don't know how to ever respond to that.

I'm a sadist, and pretty much have no limits. Some guy randomly added me on steam because of my profile, decided he wanted to dom me, but then revealed that he had a 4 inch dick and wanted me to dom him instead. It was fucking weird, but I liked it and he did as well. He sent me vocaroo's of him begging for this and that, it was nice, but sometimes it just felt odd, especially since I couldn't tell where the RP ended and the OC began, or even if there was any RP involved on his side at all. He ended up getting real fucking depressed out of nowhere and unadded me at random, changed all his info, so rip.

I don't think it's weird to mix in OOC talk as long as its tame. JOI is the best form of it or just saying what you're doing to yourself. Sending voice messages to each other seems untame. I see the tame done in Morrigan's thread and it was always hot to me. So I don't think you're the only one who enjoys it, just among the few who take it further than this.

funny enough, that guy ended up adding me again, but was completely fucking different and a fucking weirdo, and kept adding my steam friends wanting to erp with them out of the blue, it was an odd experience.

While people might not seem initially like they'd be into it, you'd be surprised how many partners enthusiastically get into blurring lines like that once you've done a little bit of RP with them. If you really want to try it out, just test the waters with some rp, drop some OOC pokes here and there in line with what you want, and you'll get 'em in now time.

Not everyone is going to be game, but for most people you need to become a regular before someone is willing to discuss their meatspace selves in any capacity whatsoever.

I do like to OOC chat because I do like to share things outside the erp. What I do not like is to reveal personal details like the "asl" shit you're used to when cybering.

Sometimes I'm not up to erp but logged into F-List for whatever reason, so I give out a honest no and a "we can chat if you want", and I have had more success at getting chatty friends than I imagined.

The "asl" people are doing you a favor. If you're trying to play with someone on like Omegle and they start with that you know they're probably not worth talking to anyways. At least in my experience.

I can't get into the whole ooc/rl blurring bit at all. People always get super creepy with it. No boundaries, no chill, and half the time it attracts people that take it too far. A lot of people prefer keeping it strictly business as just IC because then you don't have to get dragged into someone's oddball baggage.
