Not really, but then I structure my RPs that way. A lot of teasing, foreplay, and build up to the actual no-pants dance. If the mood strikes me otherwise, I'll cute to the chase.

It sometimes feels like most people only want to play a self insert sprinkled with power fantasy for the purpose of cybersex. There’s even some vocal about that being the default state for erp, and anything more is an unreasonable request only looked for by mean elitists who don’t want to play with their unique sparkle dog. Thankfully, things aren’t always as bad as they look.

The best you can do is stay persistent and make sure your profile is attractive to people looking for more. I’ve always found that having a good list of potential scenes or adventure hooks is a good way to reel in a few good players.

I have trouble ever -getting- to the sex if I do anything foreplay related, simply because I'll be having too much fun berating kings and queens, being a sarcastic fuckwit, and so on and so forth until my partner just begs for sex.

Its honestly kind of annoying. I want to be raunchy and lewd with my body, but a lot of the time it's only just that; titillation.

I can't disagree with you on that, sadly. And honestly, I don't even give a shit if they're playing "Rainbow Anthro-Wolf #81645", as long as they can play the scene well, but it always just seems to be the same old "Ey bb, wan mek fuk?" at the end of the day. That's fine when that's what I'm looking for, but I want a little more depth to my RP most of the time.

Also, you seem to be completely off point with what I'm getting at. I'm talking wanting plot, you're talking wanting to just get to the fucking - which is fine, but it's completely contrary to the point of this thread, and offers pretty much nothing in the way of the discussion.

Have you ever wanted or tried to play with more plot-focused intentions, for example? What are your opinions on less sex-driven RP? Things like that are what I'm getting at, here. Guess I should have been more clear when I made the thread, so I'll take the fault on this one.

I wish I could have more of that really. Unfortunately enough, a majority of "long term" scenarios end up fizzling out very early due to either: A) A character not being able to keep it in their pants long enough to get anything done or B) They keep it in the pants, but the relationship progression is so fugged up, it isn't satisfying. In the first scenario, people end up thinking with their naughty bits instead of their brain. "So what can I do to convince the two of us to work together? OH I know, instead of telling you all about my skills, how about I come onto you so we can fuck in order to fill out a contract?" is often what happens in the first scenario, which kills me on the inside. In the second instance, the romance goes so quick that there's no way to enjoy the small bits, think about it like playing The Sims, and romancing an NPC quick so you can marry. It feels like that. I just want to play my character as being detached and uninterested instead of forcing them to blush every five seconds.

My advice would to find someone who usually plays a "hard to get" type of character or one that's got a very stubborn or serious attitude. Those types usually work best to keep the pace steady, versus trying to dash to the finish line. That, and having your character avoid intimacy traps works too (so long as you talk to your partner beforehand too).

Perhaps I should make it clearer;

I enjoy my characters interacting with lewd subtext more than sex as well. Playful. Banter in a fantastical setting with lewd descriptors of your body/movements, whilst staying entirely away from actual sexuality is more enjoyable to me than the penetration. Thusly I have a bad time ever getting to the sex to the point where my partners have to beg me to just. Fuck them. Instead of drag it out longer.

I am -literally- fucking agreeing with you on this point. Do you not know what context clues are? Was that really that hard to fucking ascertain from my statements? Jesus fuckin' christ. I really think half the people on this board read at a seventh grader's level sometimes.

Me and my partner finally agreed to that, no more instant awkward sex since it kind of breaks immersion. This was an even bigger problem with my partner before this one who insisted on building characters and the world followed by breaking that request immediately and want some uncomfortable rp using questionable mlp character with questionable ages that made me drop the bastard quick. my problem though is I don't know how to continue a progressive build up after a sex scene with my partner.

I'm the same OP. I want an ongoing story about my character, in which suggestive things happen to her. People flirting, a slap on the bum by a stranger, circumstance requiring her to wear revealing clothing. There doesn't even need to be sex involving her, it can just happen in the background to other people and be offered (or threatened) to her. If she does have sex, it could even be fade-to-black.

I have whole settings for ERP. I invite the players to explore it, then I let them fuck as they please.

Usually there's some form of romantic interest who is there for a deeper experience and a bunch of walking orifices besides.

The formula works pretty well.

Yep, definitely got this problem, too, OP.

Been on f-list for two years literally just fucking around, but I've always been about that serious RP that actually takes time and see the characters develop and shit. Not to say the fucking around hasn't been fun, but I think I'm waking up now. I don't know how to shake off that fucking around really, though perhaps just making totally kinkless profiles will do. The people I still keep in contact with are probably enough for the quick romps of ERP, too.

I enjoy this sometimes, but the problem is I just don't ever have time. With some of my usual partners, it's not uncommon for both of us to require ten minutes for a post - it might take one or two or more hours to finish a scene that way.
