uhm well, depends on which gender you're interested in playing as
male: don't be a generic anime guy self-insert, think of a clever backstory and don't be afraid to approach people, much like real life, most blue names (males) in F-List have to initiate the conversation, also, don't expect smut constantly unless you've got a fanbase already
females: easier to get play but that doesn't mean you should slack-off, don't be just another big boob woman looking for fuck, give your character depth, you might still have to approach some folks but not nearly as often
shemales/herms aka worst genders: there are too many of them on F-List and 90% of them suck balls, they're the worst of the worst F-list ha to offer more often than not but if you'd like to play one then don't follow the bitchbreaker trope (shemale dom who breaks other shemale/female doms), once again, focus on the character's story personality and all that jazz
cuntboys/male-herms: good luck, from what i've seen they're the minority of minorities and get less play than anyone else, i've only ever played with one so i'm not sure how i could help you with this one
no matter your gender, always have an icon and a couple of reference pics
and for the love of god never put "bi-male/female preference" like so many idiots on the site only to have males/females on your NO list
i'm pretty sure most other posters on this board can give you more help than i, i haven't been playing there for that long myself but i managed to figure it out rather quickly, i'm certain you can work it out as well.
