It's getting to be around the time where I start itching to go back to one of my favorite childhood games, the original PSO! But this time I'd be interested in finding out if there are any lewdventurers who would love to revisit Ragol with me…
For those who are not familiar with PSO, it's an mmo released in the year 2000 on the Dreamcast, and then later on Xbox, Gamecube and PC. It's an RPG with character levels up to 200, can support up to 4 players to a room, is best played using a controller, and has incredibly simple dungeon crawling gameplay that begins to revolve around finding rare items at Hard difficulty (level 20) and higher. Every new character is assigned a colour based Section ID which completely changes the drop tables of just about every monster in the game, as well as what rare evolution's your MAG can attain (floaty buff pet).
The game features three classes: Hunter, Ranger and Force. Three races: Human, Newman (genetically engineered elves) and CAST (robuts). The amount of customization options in this old game leave something to be desired, but not many games give you the chance to RP in a sci-fi setting, let alone being able to play a subservient sophisticated sex bot primed for helping populate a planet, or an elven magic slinging space pimp who wears platform shoes.
While the game may be dated, its simple and relaxing gameplay still make it an enjoyable experience even today. Nothing goes hand in hand like long hard hunts and poundingly hot sex!
The server of choice I was considering was Ephinea. It has quite a few quality of life changes, while also sticking as close to the original experience as they could! They also have hardcore accounts for a more permanent alternative to character death, which could be fun if you instead enjoy the thrill and tension of risking life for rewards and lewds… (my personal favorite!)
