I think it's completely passable. I prefer having something like that which is just the basics instead of having an entire life's story that spans multiple collapses like some people.

One thing that it's important to realize is that as someone who (judging from the profile, at least) is focused on less sexually-driven play, you're in the minority of users on F-list. Most people will take a look at your profile, see text, not bother to read it and look at your kinks which as you said aren't overly kinky and don't really point towards sex-focused play. Best thing I can say towards finding partners is to be proactive; lots of people sit around idling with their status set to looking, but it's far more effective in my experience to manually seek people out. Maybe 1 in 100 people that approach me I actually end up having much of an interest in, most of my partners I stick with are those I found myself.

I used to be like that, though partly less in terms of writing quality or anything and instead of just whether or not they were "enjoying" things. I was always paranoid if I was going too hard on my partner or playing things out too soft. I eventually got over it since, honestly, if someone doesn't like you or your play, they'll probably stop playing with you and drop the RP on a dime, since that's what most people do. I used to worry people were too nice and would continue RP out of pity, but I can pretty safely say that's not the case at all.

If you're already playing with someone and they keep playing with you, it's pretty safe to assume they're enjoying it. As for people you haven't played with yet, really no harm in trying.

Again, there's nothing wrong with shorter posts, but there's a reason for people with longer post preferences to feel a bit reluctant to play with people who are happy to shoot quick one-sentence posts back and forth with their partner, but promise they could up their post length if "required". The expectations on either end are simply too different.

Scenes where the characters are amicably chatting and without anything grand going on to distract them don't need to have huge posts, of course, and it's natural the length will fluctuate.

But I dunno, I guess even if our characters are just chatting, my posts don't tend to be any shorter than four or five sentences. Sure, my character wants to reply, but when you talk, you just don't talk – your body language says a lot. It's way more interesting to convey a character's emotion during a chat by having them squirm on their seat or avoid the other's gaze, than to simply say "s/he said, obviously nervous," and that tends to be what players do when they claim that while characters are chatting, "sometimes only one sentence is needed".

They're small details, but they go miles for me as far as immersion goes.

I enjoy playing both roles so someone can meet the dirty hooker at night for a hot fuck then see her grocery shopping with her child the next day and it goes from there. Or they can meet and try to date the sweet mother and then find out what her night job really is.

Obviously you can only meet one persona at a time and who you meet first kicks off how the RP unfolds, but for some reason people seem to think she's two separate characters.
