With the last beast burning away to nothing, Idol finally had a chance to dash to her teacher's side and help her out of those tentacles. And that's exactly what she would have done had the gentle, intoxicating pollen not frozen her in place. Thoughts beginning to cloud over, she simply quivered in place as the sylvan beauty swayed past her, arms lightly swinging, hips rolling to and fro as if in a dance, the hair-like extensions twisting in the still air and spreading even more of that wonderful terrible fragrance. The girl couldn't help herself, she needed more. Maybe just one last whiff of those beautiful flowers and then she could just forget about everything and…

"Blue!" Somehow she was able to break the spell and come back to reality. She couldn't let this thing leave. She needed to have it all to myself. No, I can't let it get to Blue Cleric. She won't be able to appreciate it. Head spinning, Idol sashays past the creature, mimicking its movements and stopping in front of the door. Shaking as she turns to face it, she spreads her arms and prepares herself, rough bolts of lightning jumping between her arms and the walls.

Midori was barely focused on what was going on behind her, energy still blazing around her fist as she glanced between Isabel, Star, and Valkyrie; she only had a split second to weigh her options, the first could probably fend for herself still, the second… She had a strange inkling of what was happening there, though the form the new costume took made her shudder uncomfortably, that just left their mentor who seemed to be struggling rather valiantly not to get pulled towards the writing mass.

Steeling herself she shoved past the dazed dryad, eyes locked on the vines entangling their leader, the energy around her fist surging forward once more to resume its blade shape as she swung, intent on finally freeing the woman, the barrier around her seeming to flicker and crackle as she redirected all but what was absolutely necessary to keep out the corruption into that slash!

Star felt her skin flush as the costume wound its way up her body. Tendrils squirming over her, she grew hot and before she knew it, it felt like her summoned "armor" was a second skin, every shift in the air stimulating nerves now connected to her body. Useful, but the intense sensitivity meant that the seldom-used demon armor was weak, starved, and needed her just as much as she needed it.

Turning back to Valkyrie, she gave her mentor a confident look. "Don't freak out just yet. I'm in control… I can handle this." She did her best to make it sound like she was reassuring Valkyrie and not herself.

I'm assuming I can cooperate with her again, since at least two other players have already taken their turns.

Just as he was getting ready for another strike at the boss, Lily found himself being grabbed from behind, the more feminine of the three plant-like monsters already starting to paw at his clothes. He was strongly tempted to try to struggle free from the female monster's grasp and turn his blade upon her, but he was also sure that that was what the corrupted Goldenrod Guardian was counting on.

"Dragon!" She thought that the enemies that were immediately threatening her were distracted, and that she was free to act… So this next move would hopefully take her completely by surprise. "Let's hit her again!"

And then he charged in again, once more putting his fists to use in order to subdue the former magical girl.

With Valkyrie momentarily safe Midori let out a breath of relief, exertion starting to show on her face… Then she heard the voice behind her, the creaking at the floor, "Oh great…" She mumbled, tightening her stance and lashing out as the vines burst forth, aiming to cut down as many as she could before they got too close; she wasn't about to let all the effort she put in just now go to waste because both her and the group's leader got caught again, "These things just don't let up do they?" She grit her teeth, glancing towards the bundle of tentacles, that would be her next target once she got an opening, if nothing else it might help stem the flow of reinforcements and give them a chance to knock some sense into the corrupt magical girl.

>"More guests? Oh my, I think I may have trouble serving all of you." Goldenrod Guardian strolls between The Valkyrie and the approaching slayer, grabbing her and planting a kiss on her lips. There's almost a burning tingle anywhere they're even close to touching.

Isabel's eyes flutter and there's a pause in her body language. She finds herself kissing back, responding to the presence of familiar corruption like a welcome friend before she comes to her senses.

And slaps the golden guardian for her temerity, with a (hopefully!) resounding noise.

Idol was able to catch her breath as she threw the mis-classified plant lady(?) back, inhaling deeply to refocus. It was curvy like a woman, but there was something off about it. Besides the green skin and toxic musk. More importantly she couldn't let it it leave and cause mischief in town.

Did it just smile at me? Seeing it step forward again made her jump back with a jolt. "Hey. No, stay. Stop. Get back!" A fast spin gathers just enough energy to deliver a lightning fast low kick.

Star grimaces as wood cracks and splinters, dissolving back into the aura from whence it came. Damning the plant-woman, she draws on the demon inside her costume to aid her in a banefire curse, the spirit filling in the gaps in the spells she's mastered without infernal help. Pyromancy wasn't her usual fare, but that's what "friends" were for.

Blue and purple flames shoot from her fingertips, dancing about and looking for something to burn. With a wave of her key-wand, she directs it to Goldenrod. The curse wouldn't do much in the way of physical damage, but it would be far from the most comfortable thing she's experienced…. Unless she was wicked to the core, that is.

"Moxie, don't let anything interrupt me… I want to focus on this." I want to enjoy this… She'll submit and -then- we can talk about what pets I'll be keeping.

Pull Goldenrod from the tentacles: Competency/Risk (Indecency)

Midori grits her teeth as the fallen girl is pulled back towards the mass, muscles tightening to lunge forward and intercept them when a sudden movement at the edge of her vision caught her attention, whipping around in time to catch Valkyrie engaging the approaching plant man, "Nnn…" She could handle herself now right? She thought before turning back towards the ball of tentacles, cringing a bit as she watches them plunge back into Goldenrod, face flushing at the brazenness of it all, "Gotta put an end to this quickly or we'll be overrun…" She muttered before launching into a sprint towards the mass and the corrupt magical girl, leaping into the air aiming to land atop her and attempt to pull her free from the mass before it was too late, "Right, enough playing around!" She growled, putting every bit of enhanced strength she could behind pulling while struggling to find footing against the squirming mass beneath, "First… To get you ungh… Away from this thing!"

Struggle free from the vines: Normal/Competency/Risk

Someone else who's directly attacking an enemy this turn should probably get help from Emerald Dragon to do so.

Lily's attempt at an attack was rather quickly turned around on him, vines growing up at a rapid pace to ensnare and constrict around him. His legs were rooted to the floor, his arms were pinned to his sides, and the tears in his uniform widened, the upper half of the magical clothing that he wore looking now like it might fall off his body at any moment. That wasn't good, since there was a solid chance that his cover at the school would be blown if Silver Valkyrie or most of his fellow students got the chance to see him topless, but he couldn't really afford to worry about it at the moment.

The magical samurai had been attacking the corrupted magical girl with martial arts moves up to this point, but he had still kept a firm hold on his sword as well. His arms were pinned, but his hands were free, so perhaps if he could manage to twist his wrists just right, he might be able to cut into the vines and start slicing his way to freedom.

"..but not as nice as doing it with my friends, " the demonslayer says with a smirk, not caring how the phrase sounds, or if it makes her companions cough or double-take.

Letting her foe retreat for the moment to her throne-chair, isabel's sword seeks the next closest thing - the monster near midori, and finds herself side by side with silver valkyrie once more.

"Not so tough without your stud, are ya? Any more buns in the oven, or is the bakery sold out?" Star taunts as she waves her key again. Bidding chains to spring forth from the floor, she tries to keep the fallen Guardian held down… Tight handcuffs, ropes coiled about the bust… Star focused on the forms she'd will the mana-thick air to take. Though she was tempted to add a wooden horse to the mix, she was forced to decide against it as her suit writhed against her body in anticipation. "Moxie, you too! Help tie her down!" and you can take the first turn.

A shiver went down her back as she glanced around at her companions, wondering if she actually said that last part aloud. Though she sees no stunned expressions, she does get a glimpse of her bag among the tattered ruins of her previous costume's skirt.

"Midori, in the bag. Bottle of white potion. Drink it!" she barks, feeling the presence of another soul ripe and ready to give into the tower's dark forces. She just prayed the brawler wasn't too caught up in her pummeling to pay attention.

Blast the pollen spreader!: Competency/Risk (Indeceny)

"Eep!" Midori gasped as she tumbled back with Goldenrod just in time for the writhing ball of limbs to burst into a cloud of corruptive smoke; something deep inside filled her with a momentary pang of regret, a sense that what just happened may have been an incredible waste, but she struggled to fight off that particular thought. Of course the focus on one bit of depravity kept her from realizing another bit she was unconsciously committing until she felt something hot and sticky on her fingers, one hand having crept between the fallen girl's legs and managed to scoop up a healthy fingerful of violet spunk before she caught herself. She scrambled off of the girl as Star moved to take over, staring at her hand almost hypnotized for a moment before fully coming back to her senses, "Ewewew!" She complained shaking her hand off in an attempt to get the tainted fluids off.

Star's command snapped her back to reality rather quickly, eyes darting around frantically for the bag in question, "Eh? Oh! A-Alright." She responded hesitantly once she spotted it, still somewhat suspicious given what the witch had been up to so far and her past reputation but deciding she had been reliable enough so far that it would probably be fine… Or would have been if she hadn't caught sight of the cloud of spores suddenly burst forth from one of the remaining familiars, "D-Damn it… Hang on…" She looked between the familiar and the bag, trying to decide which to handle first, "Argh… BLASTER SHOT!" She shouted in frustration as she bolted for Star's ruined costume, peppering the familiar with a barrage of energy blasts as she ran.

Inside the cloud, Idol stumbled about trying to find her bearings. The blast from the monster's death had shaken her a bit, and then that dark air came and disoriented her further. At least it wasn't bothering her anymore. It was just hard to see. She didn't even think to hold her breath as she tripped over her coat, keeping her balance with a few practiced steps. ''Maybe I should've just left it. It wasn't attacking us anyway."

A few seconds later and the fog subsided enough for her to see the Dragon wrestling with another of those adorable forestfolk. The girl's eyes were glazed over with a strange dullness as she swayed forward, not even noticing she was topless except for her bra. Moving as if she was about to collapse, she spun into the plant girl and grabbed on, trying to pull it down as well.

Lily found himself in a rather difficult situation after slipping free from the vines that had bound him. Most of his clothing would up being torn away by the vines as he pulled himself out of them, leaving his true gender exposed, which was bad. Worse still, the female plant monster had taken the opportunity while he was distracted to get close to him again, and she wasted no time in latching onto him once more, completely restricting his movements. He got a face-full of the pollen coming off of her crown in the process, and while a moment's thought would be enough to tell that that was bad, too, said pollen had a tendency to blank out the mind and force out troublesome little thoughts like that.

Lily was rather sorely tempted, for a few seconds. The plant girl was attractive, her hands roaming over his chest felt warm and inviting, and her alluring cries left him wanting to sink down into her embrace and let all his troubles drift away… And then Midori's battle-cry came to his ears, snapping him out of it, and he looked around and took a more careful stock of the battlefield.

Everyone was fighting, and hopefully too distracted by their own battles to have noticed his current condition… Which meant that he might have a chance to keep his cover intact. He would have to pull the same sort of trick that he had already seen Midori pull, however, drawing on the twisted mana within the mansion to regenerate his uniform. And considering what that had done to the magical girl's uniform in the process, there was a good chance that his own clothing would still be left in too skimpy and revealing a state to cover what he needed it to cover.

And that wasn't even getting into the fact that he would still be stuck in his enemy's seductive embrace afterwards…

Coughing amidst the pollen and mist getting everywhere, isabel tries not to think about how good it makes her feel, instead putting her rising urges into thoughts of an after-victory celebration. One with all of her scantily clad friends…

The demonslayer's legs show off their tone as she rushes into battle, glimpses of her buns showing from below her shorter skirt as she tackles this floors guardian, intent on taking the fight close and personal before she has a chance to weave any more foul magic.

Midori stumbled a bit, huffing for breath as she dropped down next to the bag, watching the familiar for a moment to make sure they were taken care of before rummaging through the bag, retrieving one of the potions, "Bottoms up I guess…" She mumbled, cringing reluctantly as she moved to gulp down the potion while half listening to Valkyrie's attempts to talk Goldenrod down. She was hopeful at first, they seemed to be getting through to her for a moment, though she couldn't help but frown through the mouthful as they seemed to lapse back again. She glanced at the bottle for a moment, a dangerous idea creeping into her mind, the little she had swallowed of the potion made her feel slightly more clearheaded even if it hadn't dispelled much of the corruption… Maybe…

Slowly she stood, glancing hesitantly towards goldenrod, mulling over the possibilities… She could risk it, this sort of thing always worked in the shows she watched and books she read so surely now shouldn't be any different right? But it was still risky… And if it WAS like those then she might be stuck in one of the… Dirtier stories she had partaken in. She resisted the urge to swallow as she whipped around, closing her eyes and steeling herself for her decision before charging forward towards Goldenrod. Her hands lashed out, intent on grabbing hold of their arms as she leaned in, lips planting firmly against the corrupted girls' as she tried to force the purity potion into their mouth, Please work, please work… She thought, shuddering as she felt the corrupt influence that had hold of the other girl seep through her, making her body burn and tingle, eyes shutting tight as she tried to resist long enough to get the job done.

Clear Out Pollen: Normal/Competency

As Goldenrod tries to tear at the already weak and limp skinsuit away from her body, the slick black mass recoils, clinging tighter to her instead. Even still, it could slide away without much persuasion… The little witch pulled the brim of her hat lower to try and hide her mounting panic. Her bag of tricks was running thin, her body was aching with need and her teammate was about to spill her entire jug of potion out on the floor trying to get it in Goldie's mouth. If she could just sneak her way to the safe room downstairs….

Her bound and gagged fairy flitted by, perhaps to see if she was alright, or perhaps checking if the time to prey on her temporary mistress was right, it gave her an idea. Hurrying towards the stairs, she extended her hand and cast the same spell she used to force a door open much earlier. "Winds be wild!" she called out, trying to blast the cloud of pollen away.

She really hoped Cleric wasn't standing right at the foot of the stairs.

I was planning to write up a nice, descriptive post for Lily's corrupted transformation and the resulting, skimpier outfit he's now wearing, among other things, but I'm tired enough that I'm starting to fall asleep in my seat and I'm going to miss the check-in if I just go to sleep without posting anything. I hope that it's alright that I'm just declaring my action this turn.

I'm basically thinking that Lily, momentarily overwhelmed by all the corruption he's taken in, winds up taking a little inspiration from Mahou Star and thinking it might be a good idea to bolster the group's numbers a little. To that end, he jumps on top of the Idol+Alurane pile to help with the grappling, and takes that opportunity to start trying to assert his will over the plant woman.

With a triumphant smirk and a slightly-battered shield, isabel's smile turns a little naughty as she sees what Midori is up to.

Perhaps trusting her teammate too much, isabel presses -really- close to go & Midori and the guardian from behind, hands also reaching out for the corrupt girls body, helping hold her down, but also touching and squeezing just a little as encouragement to… not struggle much. Being so close to midori is just an added bonus, and her glowing fingers may cop a feel here and there.

"If you want to feel wonderful, you should just… give up and give in. Let us win."

Carry Goldenrod downstairs: Competency/Risk (Indecency)/Emerald Dice

Midori gasped for breath as the kiss finally broke, absently mindedly licking her lips in response to the dull tingle that radiated through them still, wanting to wipe her mouth of the spilled potion but reluctant to loosen her grip on the now slightly-less corrupted girl. With her focus less on keeping her target in place however she became all too aware of Isabelle's close proximity, her face flushing and then positively lighting up in response to her words, "Y-You really need to work on your redemption dialogue… Sounds kinda like something she'd be saying." She chastised, mumbling that last bit as she turned her attention back onto goldenrod, searching for signs that she might be coming back to her senses.

Everything was looking good, maybe a little more coaxing and they'd get through to her… At least that was how it seemed until she heard Valkyrie's words and saw the leg snap outwards, "Oh no. You're going to play nice you hear?" She ordered, shifting her grip on the girl's arms and reaching out to grab her leg and hold it in position, "Come on now, let's get you down stairs so we can sort this out alright?" She asked in a voice filled with a sort of fake chipperness, grip changing once again as she used her strength to scoop the fallen girl up under her arm, her face smooshed up against one of Midori's breasts. With a gesture to Isabelle to step down she moved to make her way downstairs, Emerald following close behind ready to grab Goldenrod should she manage to wiggle free.

For a brief moment, Midori could have sworn she had forgotten something, but in the heat of the moment she shrugged it off even with the lingering taste of that particular something still lingering on her lips.

There's a definite moment where she looks to her side, glancing down at lily's new costume and totally checking him out. Followed a moment by biting her lip, and saying whats on her mind. "Lookin good there, lily."

"Err… thanks…" Taking Lily's hand, Idol wordlessly rose to her feet while trying to ignore the alarune clinging to her. "Hey, it was this place. There's some weird stuff going on. Who would like that kind of thing, being held like that as it press into… and then she did that with…" Pausing a minute in her nervous raving, she turns to look at the creature curled against her, putting a shaking hand on it's shoulder. "I guess that makes you her daughter." We just tortured her kid. I am so dead. "uh. I'm sure you don't usually stab monsters like that. I mean, you usually use a sword but this was a bit of a special… I guess it's more useful to us if we don't purge it but" …and she walked away.

"Come on, you're coming with us." Taking a second to putt the now-wrapped-around-her plantgirl off, she ushers it forward with a charged tap on the ass. Grinning to herself, El walked to catch up with the rest of the team.

"Still putting up a fight huh? Whatever they did to her must have been really great. I mean felt. Felt really great." Get a grip. Surveying the mass of bodies showed there wasn't much space for her to grab on, especially with the stairs coming up. Shrugging, she flips open her phone again. "Hey Blue. We're about to head back, all cleaned up. We're gonna need a hand getting patched up though. Nothing too bad.

As I recall, the default rules were that we could have our Indecency and Corruption reduced down as low as they'll go when making use of Blue Cleric's purifying barrier, but at the cost of her having to make an Exposure check. Any changes to those rules, or…?

Once they had safely dragged the struggling Goldenrod back down within the barrier's confines, Lily found himself at a bit of a loss for what to do. Valkyrie seemed to be doing a marvelous job at keeping her former comrade restrained all on her own, and he lacked the necessary skills needed to be able to do anything to safely assist Blue Cleric.

A soft breeze that blew through the hallway suddenly reminded him that the lower half of his new outfit had almost disintegrated from merely a single blow from the dark magical girl who was restrained on the floor, however, and since Blue Cleric's barrier was keeping the air around them completely free of the mansion's tainted mana, this seemed like a good time to go about purging himself of the corruption that he had allowed to take root within his uniform and body. All he needed to do was to open himself up and let the pure, untainted mana in the room flow over him, and his magical uniform would do the rest.

Star walked down the stairs, heaving a sigh of relief as the group got the corrupted teacher taken care of, followed by another sigh when she realized how utterly ineffective she was. Sure she wrung some info out of the pixie timidly following her, but nothing that they wouldn't have found out on their own anyway…

All in all, she risked total corruption and made herself look like a freak in front of her entire team for almost no gain except a momentary distraction. If the potion helped gain their trust, this was two steps back. After some thought, she remembered Moxie again and all her chastity, bindings and gags vanished in a puff of smoke, save for the purple dog collar around her neck. "Hey, Moxie. You did real good in there, yknow? You were trying really hard. Thanks."

Composing herself, she steps into the soft, comfortable light of Cleric's barrier room, inviting the purity into her body just as she'd invited the darkness in before. The twisted amalgamation she called a costume begun to shape back up and cling to her more tightly, not writhing as much or splitting down the "seams" to show off her sensitives. Now it just looked like a plain old latex suit.

"Yknow ladies… Regroup normally means we all get together in the same spot and -wait- until everyone's present and ready before going ahead." She casts a glance at Midori and Idol. "That coulda been a lot easier if you'd stuck around to actually drink the potion I was telling you about on my way in."

El was about to snap back at Star, something about delaying the mission and goofing off with a cauldron. Fortunately Midori's explanation cooled her off enough to just add a satisfied nod. The barrier was doing is job admirably, already her outfit had regrown from almost nothing to a short vest. The return of that familiar protective static made her realize just how little she had been wearing, but compared to everyone else she didn't have much to worry about.

"Well, at least we have some sort of description. Do you remember what happened? How she came on to you I mean." Seeing the look that came over Goldenrod's face, she quickly added "Unless that's something you want to forget about."

Star made a grumpy pout as Midori shrugged off her criticism, and she just -knew- Idol wanted to say something… At least she hadn't said anything about the few minutes she'd wasted with Emerald.

That Midori though… One could hardly get away with accusing Star of inappropriate thoughts without giving her a look-at too. "You know…" she mentions quietly as Idol begins to chat up Goldenrod. "If you're really interested in reading something other than cheesy shounen junk, I could let you borrow a grimoire, if you promise not to lose it somewhere." She starts fumbling with her bag, elbow-deep in the impossibly-spacious beltpouch, feeling around for a book.

"Maybe that's the reason for the disappearances around West District High. I thought you were investigating them, especially after your call. How much did she learn from you?"

"Not too much, Meditation, focusing on activation, the basic self-exploration stuff. She went to practice for a while, and apparently taught herself how to make those. . . things. She uses me as her guinea pig a while, and then gets the hot idea to get more magical girls. And so she lays one of her weird eggs, and leaves me here with it to act as a trap. That's about where you came in."

Lily blushed in response to Ellen's admonishment, and for a few seconds he looked like he was about to give her an annoyed reply. He quickly thought better of it, however, and instead he simply tried to relax and calm down.

"I'm sorry." He wasn't the only one that had hit her, though. And he had deliberately avoided using his sword on her. And she had given out as many strikes as she got, on top of that. Still, it was probably better in the long term to just suck it up and apologize, in this case.

While other members of the group busied themselves with asking questions and investigating what was going on, Lily turned his attention back towards the monster that he had… tamed, the blush returning to his face as he gave her a quick inspection. Now that his thoughts were clear, it was fairly obvious that it had been the corrupted air of the mansion that had influenced his thoughts towards taking her as a pet to begin with. It would probably be better in the long run if he just ended her here and now, really. And yet, the way she was still looking up at him, with that eager look on her face…

He was just in the middle of giving her a gentle pat on the head when he heard the Valkyrie mention disappearances, and West District High. That certainly got his attention, and he quickly tuned back in to the conversation.

"Pardon, but… what was that about disappearances?" He asked, trying to butt into the conversation in at least a somewhat polite manner. "Are you saying that more magical girls might be suffering through… whatever it was that was going on upstairs?"

Thoughts of one magical girl in particular who had vanished were already running through his mind. Could this finally be a lead to figuring out what had happened to her?

A small bit of disappointment shows on her face at that description, clearly not what she had been hoping for, after all it would hurt her pride less if the force she had almost fallen into the clutches of weren't some crude caricature. She glanced to Star for a moment, giving a nervous cough, "Well… There's probably some way to purify these things without destroying them right? I mean, they aren't attacking anyone now and it seems kinda mean to just knock them off like that." She ran a hand through her hair, remembering the spider woman and wondering if she was still hanging around despite what Ellen had said… It'd be difficult to explain to her mom but… "If anyone can figure it out I bet it'd be either Star or Cleric here yeah?" She added with a reassuring smile.

"A-Anyway, I'm gonna do one last sweep to make sure there isn't anything still lurking around, would suck to have someone get trapped in here because we were careless cleaning up right? Don't worry about following though, I can probably handle whatever's left." She offered in a not-entirely-convincing tone before heading for the door to backtrack to the web covered room, her original costume flashing back into existence as she reattached the brooch.

Watch as Midori's dumb reckless plan ends up up backfiring horribly.

Star wasn't much paying attention to what Midori was saying, still sifting through her bag.

"Ah! Found i- Hey!" Pulling her book from her bag, she looks up just in time to catch Midori dashing off on her own again. "God, no patience for good old fashioned witchery, any of you! Can't wait for your potions, can't wait for your books…. Moxie, what was she saying when she left?"

Star groaned as Moxie summed up Midori's plan, though making it sound more like a slave raiding than the liberation she was intending.

"Oh my god…." she facepalmed. "…. Do we even want to go after her? I mean if that's her plan, one of the fairies decided not to mess with me when she saw Moxie here all cuffed and gagged. Maybe if they saw their mother playing the part of the helpless captive, we could persuade more to surrender. I could conjur up paper chains. They'd look real enough, but you can break them if the bluff doesn't work and they attack." She pet her nude fairy friend on the head as she explained her own version of Midori's ill-conceived plan, braiding up strands of her flowing strawberry hair.

Goldenrod shook her head when she heard Mahou addressing her. "Uh well, you might go with fruity candy, it is a butterfly after all."

"We're still in something of a combat situation, discipline can wait. Though I thought you found that they came from here by trying to trace the source or something, not by asking one of them. I'll find out what other kind of shady stuff you've been up to soon enough."

"Oh, but about that," Blue Cleric Chimes in. "Some samples might be helpful for finding the one responsible." She takes out a few small jars and places what looks like a small barrier around each. "These will be exempt from my barrier, so anything you put in them won't be purified when you bring it back."

Midori paused for a moment upon seeing the distraught fairy, frowning a bit as she glanced towards the door leading deeper into the mansion. She could try to sneak by but then the others might come through following her… At the same time she couldn't dawdle too long. She took a few steps, skirting the room as an idea came to her, maybe she could get the fairy to help her with her plan somehow… But she'd have to lure her away first so she didn't get caught, "Hey!" She called out, still making her way towards the kitchen door, "Hey, follow me and we can do something fun~." She offered, pausing just long enough to heft her breasts a bit in a teasing gesture before moving- That was what these things were after right? If that were the case it'd be easy to get them to cooperate so long as she was careful about it, or at least that was how things seemed in her mind… Though there was a brief moment where she couldn't help but wonder if some lingering influence was driving her forward with this plan even after having been thoroughly purged within Blue Cleric's barrier.

Lily gave a soft smile up at Isabel as he felt her squeeze his shoulder, but that expression soon turned to a frown as he heard the answer to his question. It was mostly boys that had disappeared, and Goldenrod was the first magical girl? That meant that this wasn't a lead on where the person he was looking for had gone, then. That was disappointing, to say the least.

He was silent as the conversation continued on from that point, but as the topic turned to clearing out the rest of the mansion and Midori left to go do… whatever it was she had planned, he roused himself from his dejected state and checked the map of the mansion.

"I think that we've pretty much cleared out the entire east side of the mansion, as well as all of the center rooms," He noted, checking back through the rooms that they had all traveled through already. "I'll take the southwest exit, now. We should be able to eliminate everything on this floor by making one last sweep around the outer rooms."

And after that… Well, he did recall seeing that hole in the ceiling, with the vine ladder leading up into it. The boss room where they had subdued Goldenrod Guardian hadn't had any hallways or doors connecting off to it, unfortunately. He didn't particularly care to go up that way, but if he didn't discover any other stairs up to the next floor, then that would likely be his only option.

First things first, though, he made his way over to the southwest exit to the entrance hall.

"I'll take the plant girl along with me, too," He added in. "I think I can keep her under control, and it seems like she's proving to be a bit of a… distraction for Goldenrod."

Midori frantically glanced around the kitchen, signs of Star's activities clear at a glance… Along with some other things that worried her. Still she had to move quickly, scrounging around the scattered pots and discarded bottles for any leftovers from the witch's experiments, anything she might be able to scrape together to help subdue the dragonfly fairy without having to do too much fighting, or perhaps the spider woman in the next room if she was still there. "Ah…" She glanced from her searching as she spotted aforementioned fairy slipping in not far behind her… Gotta distract her just a bit longer…

"Be a dear and close the door would you~?" She requested in a sing song voice, trying to get the remnants of some batch of potion or another into a discarded vial, she knew what the white concoction was, though some of the vials contained a strange pink substance that she didn't readily recognized, but Star wouldn't make something TOO dangerous right? May as well try to salvage some if she could, she'd need every advantage she could get if she was going to succeed in her plan.

Part of her almost wished she had stuck around and listened to the eccentric magical girl's explanations.

"Hmm? Did I overdo it?" Blue Cleric says getting a bit of a sway to her stand as she starts to feel the influence of the corruption she purged from the others. "Maybe I should pull my barrier back a little."

With her salvage safely set aside she twists in the winged woman's grasp, trying to maneuver so that she could force their face between her prodigious breasts in an attempt to restrain and subdue her, "Hey now, no need to get antsy there!" She chastised, giving a mock pout, hoping no one came along and saw her before she was done and ready to move along.

"A-ah, ummm…" Though he did not blush, Lily did visibly stiffen up as Mahou Star brought up his breasts, or rather lack thereof. He had to remind himself not to panic, had to tell himself to keep calm, and note that there was probably nothing to worry about. He deliberately chose clothing that kept his upper body obscured for a reason, and that corrupted outfit he had transformed into her certainly not done much to keep things obscured, but that didn't mean that his cover was blown just yet.

Fortunately, a convenient distraction soon made itself known as they walked into the next room, and the young samurai was happy to let his awkward silence fall away as he moved a hand up to the hilt of his sword.

"I'll go in first," He stated calmly, his movements mirroring that of the snake woman before them as he, too, crouched down and readied himself to strike. "Warn me when you're about to make your move, and I'll jump back and out of the way."

And then he lunged forward, blade flashing out as he opened up with an iaijutsu strike.

"We might want to be a bit more careful when entering this next room, though. The last two time I entered a room that was in the corner of the mansion, it had the remains of some of those weird, corrupted flowers in. The monsters in the room were a lot stronger than-"

And that was the point where the samurai noticed that Mahou Star had already moved on ahead.

"…Oh." Rushing ahead as well, he kept his sword at the ready, expecting more significant resistance in this room. On the bright side, though, there was at least a chance that they might be able to pick up some samples here, as well as possibly get some stronger monsters for Mahou Star to collect.

Midori's brow furrowed as she focused, a soft gold aura forming around the tails of the excessively long ribbon around her waist, "That's it, as long as you behave we can have lots of fun~." She promised, keeping a hand on the fairy's head to keep her in place, both so she couldn't see the ribbons moving around from behind the magical girl, and so she couldn't resist as easily as they snapped out, coiling and wrapping around their target in an elaborate patter aiming to bind their arms behind their back and holding their wings down - hopefully without damaging them - so that she couldn't get out of hand once the 'fun' started…

"Woah! A wild Heracross appeared!"

Uncertain if the bug was tainted or just unruly, she decided to focus on the mass of tendrils first, having learned her lesson about ignoring rogue plantlife earlier in the adventure.

"Hmm…. What to do with you assholes…. Ah- Got it!"

Working her magic, hexagons take shape in the air, coming together to form a fence of thick green garden wire, encircling the patch of overgrown phallic "vines". As the fence formed itself, one could see the wire shifting itself, the hexagonal gaps getting smaller by increments and the perimeter of the fence changing. If she misplaced it, or if the gaps were big enough for a tendril to slip through, the fence would be nearly useless…. But maybe she should allow a bit of space. If these were anything like the tentacles on Goldenrod's breeding throne, there'd be plenty of "material" to work with for Cleric's samples.

Also, if Wicked is willing, I'd like to retcon a bit and say Mahou went back to her original costume in the saferoom on the grounds that the living "devil armor" would be too hard to strip off involuntarily

Midori scratched her head with her free hand as she tried to think of a way to explain what she was doing without sounding crazy, using the other to carefully turn the bound fairy so that their back was against her while moving to take a seat, keeping the winged girl firmly in her lap with their head nestled between two rather large pillows, "Just uh…" She began, trying to avoid eye contact with her fellow blue haired magical girl, "I didn't feel right just purging these ones, since who knows what kind of connection they might have to Goldenrod and she seemed already on the verge of losing it again anyway… Plus we can just purify them so they aren't quite as sex crazed and dangerous right? But well…" She the scratching finger shifted to her chin while her other hand trailed down the fairies body unconsciously, fingers curling into the juncture between their legs.

"I hadn't expected to actually run into anything on this side besides the familiar I was after… And I dunno if I can manage two at once…" She trailed for a moment, face still bright red as she realized what she was doing in plain view of one of her companions, one finger slowly slipping into the fairy's slit followed soon after by a second, twin digits squirming and probing about as she continued speaking, "… I also dunno how these things imprint but you were watching Lily with the plant lady so…" She rambled on, stumbling on words a bit as she tried not to sound overly accusatory or presumptuous and certainly not trying to sound like she had expected to get caught.

Mahou Star seemed to have the fleshy tentacles well in hand, from what Lily could see, so he left those to her and focused his attention on the beetle, not wanting to give it the chance to sneak around behind them and get in any good hits against them.

Lily took a hit from the beetle's horn directly to the gut, and while the magical protections woven into his outfit left him relatively unharmed from the blow, it did both knock him off-balance, preventing his strike from connection, and might very well have torn a big enough hole to bare his midriff again.

Not one to be deterred, however, he backed off for a few seconds to regain his balance and steady his breathing, and then leapt in again, hoping to land a hard blow on the monster this time.

Withdrawing one of the Cleric's jars from her bag, she takes a cautious step towards the tendrils creeping past the fence, held snugly by the wire that she scaled down just a bit when one took a swipe at her. Steadily extending her gloved hand, she takes one of the lengths and strokes it, blushing a bit as she feels its natural warmth and setting the vial near an orifice at the tip. Stimulating it, she calls to her fairy.

"Hey Moxie, I bet you play with these things a lot, don't you? Why don't you help me squeeze the good stuff out? If you do a good job you can go inside the fence and spend some time with them…" she tempted as a reward. "Do you like that?" Star quickly added on, in case the fairy actually didn't think that was as fun as she tried to make it sound.

Well, rejoining itself would take an action, because it's a two-room move, not counting you going south, which would have just been a freebee. If you feel like playing it risky to make things interesting, I suggest excluding your normal die to make a three-room move, including a corruption risk for all that tainted air you'll be breathing in your rush, and then facing down whatever happens to be in that hallway.

Tame the Fairy: Competency/Risk (Indecency)/Risk (Corruption)

Having Idol watching the whole ordeal made Midori more than a little self conscious about what she was doing, but it seemed like the only alternative to simply pummeling the poor girl or peppering her with energy blasts like she had the more aggressive familiars in the mansion; that had always been a weakness for her, even if what she was up against was blatantly corrupt, if it wasn't actually attacking her or her friends or could possibly be saved she had a hard time justifying using force to deal with them. Of course part of her worried that she might have been so willing to pursue THIS particular vector because of how close she had come to falling under the influence of whoever it was did those things to Goldenrod, a small shudder running up her spine as she felt the slender girl's soft interior engulf her fingers, the second knuckle slowly disappearing within as she pushed deeper, stroking and probing at the walls of their pussy experimentally, seeing what sort of reaction she could get… She couldn't be that much different from a normal girl so it should be easy to figure out what makes her squirm right? A mischievous smile tugged at the busty magical girl's lips at that thought, thinking back to her more private moments of 'research' and what always got her going.

Once more, Lily made a move to attack the enemy, and once more, he received a sharp blow from the beetle's horn in return, disrupting his attack and throwing him off balance. Staggering back again to recenter himself, he found himself having to admit that this enormous insect was turning out to be quite the formidable foe.

Still, not one to be deterred, he went at the creature again, this time opting for a slightly different tactic. He feinted, pretending to go for a frontal assault once more, only to this time duck out of the way and jump to the creature's side at the last second, lashing out at the beetle's legs with his blade.

With her new companion secured, at least for the moment, Midori gathers up the vials she collected and turns towards the door Idol left through, "Well, I suppose we should move along to make sure our other friend hasn't gotten into trouble." She stated as much as ordered, marching forward with the fairy in tow, carefully opening the door but not stepping all the way through before checking her footing, having already almost made that mistake once.

The scene inside made her frown a bit, the smug look on the spider's face coupled with Idol's precarious positioning making her shake her head, "Well, let's see if the trick will work twice, go distract her dear~." She ordered her slender friend off to buzz around the spider while avoiding the webs covering the floor, putting her focus into animating her costume's ribbons once more to lash out and entangle the multi-legged woman, "I came here to make up for last time but I can't have you nibbling on my friend I'm afraid~."

From a game design point of view, one of the main purposes of the Normal Die is to help provide tension at dramatically-appropriate moments. You get to roll it most of the time, so that those times when you don't get to add it to your roll are made more tense from knowing that you're down one of your usual dice.

Flavor-wise, using magic is something that's considered normal for a Magical Girl, isn't it? I recall we settled on high levels of corruption, either from a powerful enemy or an environmental hazard, as the sort of thing that would prevent a Magical Girl from using her Normal Die.

Sensing that the battle was turning in his favor again, Lily pressed the advantage, trying to keep pace with the beetle as it turned to try and face him so that its damaged side would still be exposed to him.

With a little luck, a sharp lunge would drive the blade into the spot on the beetle's abdomen that had once been covered by the wing he had cut off a piece of, piercing through some of the creature's soft and vulnerable internal organs and killing it.

With the spider bound, for the time being anyway, and Idol mostly safe, Midori braced the ribbons and focused her power into spreading her protective field outwards. A grimace of strain crossed her face as she worked, a golden aura pulsing around her then shifting and distorting into a dome as it grew, hopefully burning up the web or at least shoving it out of the way, "Let's… Clear a space before… Getting to business…" She managed to grunt, clearly not used to using magic in this sort of manner, "K-Keep an eye on the spider… 'till I'm done alright… Idol?"

Having defeated his opponent, and seeing that Mahou Star was already in the process of collecting samples from hers, Lily had just started collecting clippings from the grass that was starting to grow up from the floor beneath his feet, so that Cleric could analyze the effect the corruption had had on the local plantlife, when he heard Isabel's voice calling through from the next room over.

"Tough enough to need help?" He called back, deciding to forego the trimmings in favor of simply tearing out a clump of the grass by the roots, so that he would be able to finish the task quickly and rush off into the next room at a moment's notice if he was needed.
