What do you guys do to spice up your F-List profiles some to make them nicer to look at?

I'd like for my character profiles to be more than just the bland drop-downs and white text, but I'm ignorant to BBCode.

Any pointers?

Inlines do mountains of work in making a profile look good, but only if the art is good. BBCode is really easy, the wiki has a list of all of the tags. If something doesn't work, try using the tags in a different order.

Use the symbols tab from here sparingly on section titles and stuff.

[text] in front of something and [/text] at the end, it's not really hard if you check the BBCode they have in the wikia https://wiki.f-list.net/List_of_BBCode_tags

Like the other anon said, try and use inline images, get Paint.Net (basically free photoshop) and then edit it to your liking! There are thousands of tutorials for every little thing in that program and it will make you look different from all the other users using pre-existing inlines, just make sure to always write your character's name or something on the inline so it won't get stolen.

or you could simply link to your character and i could try and help you with codes and inlines, i'm not that experienced with editing pics but i've done my fair share of inlines

Learn how to BBcode, it's really not hard. I use colored and underlined category titles for most of my character description and only use dropdowns for an additional "tab" of information that i think isn't directly relevant to the character or only relevant to a very specific group of people.

Use spacing properly, add some inlines and/or eicons for visual flavor/attention drawing. And most of all, use all ressources sparingly and organized. Inlines the size of wallpapers can be as offputting as a wall of unformatted text.

Honestly I think inline images look really tacky, and generally I feel people use them in place of writing a decent profile. But I can ignore them.

What I can't ignore however is those fucking custom alt-text fonts that people use. They're really unpleasant to look at and make the profile harder to read.

Remember that first and foremost the content of your profile is what's important!
