This is why people feel queasy about playing with hubs.
It might seem like you've hit the jackpot – a profile that has superior flexibility than one with a set character, not bound by a background or a specific appearance. But it falls apart if the person behind it is an unimaginative dumbass who expects their partner to pick everything for them, and acts haughty about it like they're doing you a huge favor for it.
In this case, you're both dumbasses. You could've given a loose description of the kind of female you like to play against, then asked if they had any preferences in types of monsters – sentient, non-sentient, quadruped, tentacled, whatever, just give a little example for them. If they just say "sure" to what you suggested for them and go "whatever you want to play" instead of giving a preference, you dump them, easy as pie, because they're a dumbass.
But if you didn't give them anything to work with, either, well, you kind of deserve it. Partner preference only goes so far, have some loose examples of what you like to play, too.
