So, yeah. We talked in irc for a while about making i2p textboard script. Simple as fuck, simple design (not eyecancer).

Who has some ideas, what programming language should we use (not PHP) and database of course.

One of the ideas was using Python with Flask microframework. But I want to hear other suggestions.

We plan on using IPFS with I2P to share shit. IIRC it's possible to make text boards with it so you should look into that.

ruby on rails is other option but its ruby and no one likes ruby. python is best bet i think….or can use node.js and do all javascript but that is vulnerable to attacks and i dont like it myself.

there is nntpchan which is decentralized. files can be disabled in config files to make it a textboard. if needed, a specialized node or network of nodes separate from the main network can be hosted too. i think you opened a thread there already. you can see it in action:

oniichan used to have an i2p address but that's down. also there used to be hiddenchan and 404chan nodes which were on i2p. i say try to reuse nntpchan or be compatible with the protocol so it can be decentralized easily.
