EVENT
The cave is quieter than normal, Zhiboz flying peacefully through the air, Shik and Sik at rest. The many Zih and Ziho types and Ziz peacefully trekking about the small pocket of open land. Ubt are floating above, and latching onto the sulfur vents in the less volatile water-sulfur pools. Finally, Obut sit expectantly for a passer-by to pick one of it's seeds.
Crack…
Suddenly, cracks can be seen from some of the walls and the ceiling.
One, three, ten, twenty, forty fractures… then suddenly…
BOOM
The entire ceiling and a large portion of a couple walls break.
Stalactites being to fall, crushing whatever they land on. A few land into the pure sulfur pools; However, more fall into the pure water pools, crushing the defenseless creatures within.
From the rubble of the incident, some creatures emerge…
The titanic Veayie stumbles slowly into the now open cave from it's native cave.
It's intestines glow from the holes of it's body. They are meant to draw smaller creatures towards them, and then spray the surrounding area with their bile. They then feast upon the melting carcasses by eating them through their mid legs.
They use echolocation to traverse the caves, having six ports on each end of their bodies to excrete air from their air sacks. The sound excreted from the air sacks is a very much like a trumpet, but with much more distortion.
These extraterrestrial-looking creatures have hairs on their backs, as too catch their horn-like noise, and evaluate the room, leading to them being somewhat slow in certain situations.
The Niph are decedents from the same common ancestor that birthed the Nish.; however, unlike their desert-bound cousins, the Niph traveled to the mountains, until falling into a sinkhole, and becoming trapped in the seemingly endless cave systems.
Though they have rudimentary sight, the have lost most of it in favor of smashing their forelegs on the ground of the caves. They then use the slight vibration of the ground to evaluate the things their poor eyesight can't.
In their native habitat, they feasted mostly upon a separate strain of Ubt, though most of these Ubt have died in this combination of ecosystems.
