You don't have to automatically like someone based on talent alone. I don't think many people would argue that Lewis is the better driver most days, he just is. He's incredibly talented. But his personality is just so spectacularly shit and he's such a comical manchild that it's nearly impossible for any sane person to like him.
I like Rosberg because he's not one radio message given to him while going through a corner away from a massive crybaby passive aggressive chimpout

Yes I'm sure the only explanation for the fact that most people dislike Hamilton is because they're Rosberg fans. Not that they might just hate the overwhelming bias in his favor, or that he has the most intolerable personality, or that he's a hilariously incomplete driver that cant handle any strategy failure, or that he's utterly dependant on the radio, or that he chimps out from people speaking to him in the corners. Nope, gotta be that we like the finno German.

ANALYSIS: VETTEL ECLIPSES ALONSO’S BEST AFTER SIX ROUNDS AS FERRARI PREPARES FOR ENGINE BOOST
There is an interesting line in Gazetta dello Sport today, noting that Sebastian Vettel has scored more points after six races for Ferrari than Fernando Alonso managed in the same period in any of his five seasons with the team.
Vettel, who has scored a win and four podiums, has 98 points which is comfortably more than Alonso managed even in his best start to a season with Ferrari. It’s also his second strongest start to a season, after his utterly dominant 2011 season with Red Bull.
Last year, the annus horribilis for Alonso’s relationship with the team, he had 61 points at this stage; 2013 he had 78; 2012 it was 76; 2011 just 69; and 2010 he had 75 points. So he was fairly consistent.

m8 badly written gay sex is hilarious especially when it all seemingly revolves around Webber or Alonso.
And the autism you can find is frightening. F1/Harry Potter crossover with professor David Coulthard teaching Wingardium Leviosa or the 1 million word story in which Vettel plans to mentally break Alonso throughout a season by impregnating Dasha or Niki Lauda & James Hunt getting married and adopting Kimi who turns out to be an alien.
The only other straight one I've found involved Jessica getting drunk, having revenge sex with Webber and then becoming so guilt filled that she can't even bring herself to buy a morning after pill.
I'm not deranged enough to be able to get off on that. It only makes me laugh harder seeing how crazy they get.

A president who served for a quarter of a century and thus became a stong figure in nations history, he was kept in office for that long to maintain good relations with Soviet Union during the cold war, as he was seen as the only person capable of that. He would go hunting and skiing with the soviet officials in the wilds and get drunk in sauna to discuss politics. He was infamous mainly among political opponents for his acts that enabled finlandization, and for his authoritarian personality and strong will so to speak, he wouldn't seek for compromises but would force his decisions.
Notorious was maybe a bad choice of words as he's actually very liked person in the popular culture, remembered generally as kind of a politician who was able to get things done and was more practical and no-bullshit type of guy. Also he has distinctive looks with the babyface, bald and big goggles which has become iconic here kind of like Hitler mustache and hairdo.

I guess because people were afraid USSR would get angry, obviously soviets were upset they didn't manage to occupy Finland so they put some political pressure on the country and Kekkonen seemed to be masterful at managing this threat and keeping the relationship warm. This bowing to the east is typically referred as "Finlandization", when one powerful country strongly influences the policies of a smaller neighboring country, while allowing it to keep its independence and its own political system.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finlandization
It even still affects Finland's politics quite a lot, especially now that Russia's having active wars in Europe. Probably the reason why Finland isn't in NATO for example.

F1 was pretty fucking safe even before they made it their mission to neuter it from 1994 onwards. If I go online and summon a list of worst pitlane fuckups (http://wtf1.co.uk/top-ten-pit-lane-nightmares/ ) there isn't even anything serious there that wasnt already breaking a rule. Unsafe releases were penalized even in the 80s. Mansell got disqualified for backing up in the pitlane once.
Everyone seems to think that f1 was some incredibly dangerous hell hole until senna died. It wasn't.
The refuelling fuckups are exactly that (fuckups or rule violations). Benetton removed the safety device from their rig, and most of the other cases are due to release of the car before the nozzle was out.

m8 don't take this wrong. I know you want it to be the 1980s again but the standards of what has to be built has gone up and it isn't going to come down. The teams demand a certain quality. Bernie demands a certain quality. The FIA demand a certain quality.
The whole redevelopment of Interlagos and the brand new pits they are building are because the teams were complaining and moaning that nothing had been updated since 1990. That the pits were too cramped, leaked and water got everywhere (They all share one stairwell to keep sensitive shit dry). The fact that there was no decent hospitality areas for them to entertain guests. The fact the power supply was always dodgy.

Yes I'm fine with all of that but one of the limits on the amount of cars are the amount of pit boxes at a track and the size of a pitlane. All I was trying to say was that I'm not sure that the tracs are capable of hosting 40 cars. 26 cars yes but above that I'm not sure.
I haven't checked them all because finding the data is actually amazingly hard. The FIA don't give out the track schematics or the official pit allocation diagrams but you would be okay at Spa and Silverstone which both have around 40.
In fact at both you are extra fine as in a real tight pinch you could force some teams into the sportscar pitlanes.
Montreal would probably be a problem but Bernie keeps demanding they update their pitlane. The problem is there isn't really any room so they might have to cement over some of the rowing lake to make it bigger or move it.
Also going back to the original point on increasing the number of cars. Another problem is having to cut the prize fund even smaller.
I know the changes would make it cheaper but the teams aren't going to except a reduction in prize money just because it became cheaper to run.
Until they and Bernie have their hands off the rules the amount of teams will remain at around 11.

The key statistic to watch isn't how many fuckups happened, it's what the survivability is WHEN a fuckup happens.
It doesn't matter how an accident happens. An accident doesn't become less deadly if it's a rule violation rather than someone doing something stupid or a mechanical failure. In that video of Monaco, if something went wrong and a car went out of control, there are dozens of people all gathered around in a line with no safety equipment. You would likely end up with a 55' Le Mans type disaster. Nowadays, there are far less people in the pitlane, and those that are are wearing safety equipment. Significantly higher survivability.

I'm not. I'm not saying they can't expand the grid. I'm not trying to come up with excuses as to why they can't do it and disagree with you.
I'm just trying to remember what got written into the rules and for what reasons.
The closest I can find is apparently they changed it from 13 teams before pre-qualifying starts to 12 teams maximum with no more pre-qualifying so as (and this is according to them not me) to stop what happened in mid 80's to early 90's where teams would enter and shortly die within a season due to a 7 figure debt sum and achieve nothing.

With the FIA and Bernie they have just made anything that is a corrupt process legal and they seemingly don't really do corrupt things.
And even when Bernie does do it (CVC sale) he works his way out in the most brilliant of fashions.
Bribing a bribery court and then telling them they should build a racetrack with the money is just amazing.
Only Bernie can get away with that level of charm.

All of these aforementioned negative qualities are of coursed multiplied exponentially in Crofty, but Ted is far from great. I know not everyone can be as based as Murray, but they could at least try.

Remember how we were discussing how F1 is an economy and must be treated as such? This explains why that isn't happening.
http://www.crash.net/f1/news/219481/1/mosley-lashes-out-at-absurd-f1-driver-salaries.html
>Former FIA president Max Mosley has hit out at the scale of driver salaries in F1, labelling them as 'absurd'.
>In the wake of the announcement that Lewis Hamilton has pledged his future to Mercedes for the next three years, speculation has suggested his deal is worth upwards of £100 million over three years.
>With Fernando Alonso also believed to be getting a pay increase in his deal to move from Ferrari to McLaren, Mosley believes drivers are simply worrying what they earn 'compared with the other guy'.
>"It is absurd," he said in an interview with GQ Magazine. "If I was a dictator in the sport, each team would have the same money and you could spend more on the driver or less on the car or vice versa. All the driver worries about is what he earns compared with the other guy."
>Last year saw driver salaries published with Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel listed as earning the most at 22 million euros each.
Mosley is a communist and the rest of F1 caught his disease. "If I was a dictator in the sport, each team would have the same money and you could spend more on the driver or less on the car or vice versa. All the driver worries about is what he earns compared with the other guy." Taking after his father the Nazi supporter right there.
