Feel free to make any constructive suggestions. For the forseeable future, discussion of NASCAR, WEC/LeMans, Indycar, and other motorsport series will be allowed. It is preferable that discussion be related back to F1, but not required.

Whatcha thinkin?

2c33a2 No.1206

Mercedes sandbagging again, but McLaren especially so.

I can guarantee with 94% certainty that McLaren and Mercedes will dominate this season, but Williams and Red Bull vying for second. Ferrari will be hit or miss, what with old man Raikkonen and carbabby Vettel at the helm.

>somewhat specific statistic

I like it

In case you were not aware (and indeed this might be relevant for you to tell your partners on that end of the paddock) the McLaren has come down with herpes.

I expect Ferrari to have a good car with reliability issues this year, while Sauber gets back to the midfield.

Honda probably now has the worst engine now.

f63e90 No.1218

>>1214
the ferrari does seem to be much more aggressive and less bulky this year.
I was really shocked by how long wheelbase the toro rosso was. they really must be focusing on low drag.

Is force india confirmed kill?

f63e90 No.1227

>>1226
no, but they are likely to miss the second test.

229865 No.1228

>>1226
Unlikely, but the delays on the reveal do tell that they will probably be shit this year.

a5149b No.1229

>>1226
they are worse off than lotus was this time last year.

229865 No.1270

Any predictions about the Barcelona tests?

f63e90 No.1272

>>1270
apparently force india will be a no show. I suspect that most cars will be able to do much longer stints. I also suspect the lotus' sidepods and rear aero are modular, and that they deliberately went conservative for the first test.

229865 No.1273

>>1272
Unsurprising. They probably wanted to see if their new chassis is any good.

229865 No.1299

So, when are the Barcelona tests starting?

a2ce9d No.1300

>>1299
We are now on the second day of Barcelona tests.
Maldonado went fastest.

229865 No.1301

>>1300
So, he CAN drive fast when he's not crashing.

File: 1424612626026.jpg (134 KB, 1024x683, 1024:683, alonso.jpg)

From the Sky Sports feed; Our colleagues at German publication Motor und Sport have quoted Sebastian Vettel, who was behind Alonso on the road when the McLaren crashed out, as saying: "The speed was slow - maybe 150kph. Then he turned right into the wall. It looked strange."

3cb6fb No.1303

Is the E23 a genuinely good car and we might see some good Lotus results or are all the other teams sandbagging?

9cd6aa No.1304

>>1303

Mercedes teabagging

2c33a2 No.1305

>>1302
Lelonso is fed up with this world.

c6faee No.1306

>>1303
Mercedes is sandbagging, but the E23 seems to be a top shelf car. It is likely to be among the best of the Williams, Ferrari, red bull group

229865 No.1308

>>1303
They have a legit good car now, so they'll probably get a few podiums this year.

f63e90 No.1309

>>1305
certainly looks like its panic time for mclaren/honda

f63e90 No.1310

>>1302
lots of drivers were taking about the wind's severity.
