Hey guys, we've had a pretty successful run as of late. A few days ago we had 15 active users listed, bringing us momentarily higher than a number of other boards.

I want to know what we can do here at >>>/f1/ that will make this a better place, and will bring more people over here.

So, any suggestions?

Other than that it's all about advertising/waiting it out. The off season for any sport has very little discussion going on, and F1 is probably the worst of them all. The only discussion between November and March is of testing in February, and very minor news like management alterations and car development.

I honestly don't mind having an /f1/ board, so long as F1 threads like race threads are still on /sp/.

I honestly don't think the threads will get much attention as the board is still small and nobody from /f1/ over on Halfchan seems to have come over here aside from me. I'm gonna try, though.

Which is my point, if you would like to use /sp/, be my guest. But I see no fault in posting races within this board. I mean, this is the FORMULA ONE board, it would be rather odd if we outsourced all race threads to /sp/. That just seems irrational. I would also like to think that the content here would be vastly different from /sp/, given how much more specialized this board is.

You seem to have misunderstood my original posts. I meant I don't care if there is an F1 board as it would be good for generalized discussion, but to also confine race threads here would be silly. It would be the as if somebody made an /NFL/ board and all gameday threads were confined there. It would defeat the purpose of /sp/.

The main reason why I'm going to TRY race threads on /sp/, is because they've always been on /sp/. 4chins doesn't have individual boards, only generalized discussions, which were a bit of a problem in their own right. I just think that since /sp/ has a larger userbase, that race threads would be better suited, but this doesn't mean that I am against race threads here either.

We'll just have to wait and see which ones work out best and go from there.

This is the best answer. While we do have Formula 1 here, there's going to be more publicity found on /sp/ than /f1/. I would suggest to have it on /sp/ since that's the bigger board, get attention for /f1/ and in the rare chance this board does become big and sufficient, start hosting them here.

Rolling for what year F1 to go watch.

Let me clarify that. I am not an /r/formula1 user, I used to idly browse there and I was an active user on f1technical. It was too circle-jerky, too ban happy, too formal and a lot of other shitty things.

Dude if you want to talk about boobs, butts, jokes, racist shitposts go ahead!

Try to keep it vaguely motorsport related (not essential), and don't post gore (although it's a picture of a motorsports related injury and spoilered that's fine too).

I want this to be a fun and free place, not /r/formula1 8chanbutthurt edition.

Jessica is quite busy as are a lot of the wags and others don't really care about F1 so don't turn up regularly.
Jennifer was getting employed by Sauber to be Sutil's PA (Stress reliever/Fleshlight would also fit into that job title) so she was the best looking woman who would turn up to every race.
FOM realised this so just had a camera follow her around to cut to at opportune moments.

Jorda will be at the majority of the races so will be the new cut-to-girl.
