That Honda's driver off the line is abysmal. Getting an idea of the chassis in this state is very difficult too. The slower speeds can very possibly be hiding it's problems. You can only get an idea when it's being ringed around a track.

The DRS effect and speed deferential that it creates is bestially on such a track.

Road racing and TT coverage is pretty shit compared to Moto GP or other big series.

In the TT the riders are released sequentially with a decent gap between them but for something like the NorthWest 200 and Irish road racing it is a proper race.

All you usually have is helicopter footage and the bikes out pace the helicopters. You don't get really fancy graphics showing split times and a lot of the time the commentators don't know who they are watching as you can't really see anything from a helicopter shot.

It's fun.

The airline sponsors always pick their air stewardess clothing (this is standard procedure for all sports they sponsor).

Races that have no sponsor it is left to the track owners and those designs swing either way (Montreal is always pretty formal (by grid girl stds), Red Bull chose the cute dirndls, Austin has cowgirl with cleavage, whilst Korea went with panties showing)

For sponsors like Santander, UBS, Petronas, and Eni, sexualizing imagery isn't necessarily part of their brand or image so they go for a more formal but still alluring look.

Petrobras should fall into that category but they are Brazilian so it's a tighter version to show off the bunda.

In general though Formula 1 is meant to be seen as ever so slightly sophisticated (even if the people in charge whine, moan and behave like children) and so they get banking corps, petrochemical companies and airlines

MotoGP is much more high octane, adrenaline filled and the sponsors reflect that. Monster (much more 'aggressive' than Red Bull) and bwin wouldn't be seen on an F1 grid.

That translates to the grid girls so you get leather catsuits, stockings and tiny mini skirts.

Also in MotoGP and other series the grid girls are left to the teams to sort out not the race sponsor so they end up going more 'aggressive' with styling just like they do with the car.

He allowed Ferrari to wallow in faliure and made everything too comfortable for everyone. That's not how you run that team. All of that was going on over the radio on TV between Rosberg & Brawn. Both Mercedes were marginal and Brawn wanted to play it safe and so told him to drop back as no one was there to challenge them for 3rd and 4th.

Then Multi 21 happened with the Red Bulls just ahead.

Remember the Mercs in 2013 had amazing 1 lap pace but destroyed their tyres in the race.

In Spain Nico and Hamilton locked out the front row and eventually finished 6th and 12th with no accidents or collisions.

Monaco is track where track position matters more than tyre life (something Hamilton should have remembered) so the Mercedes got pole and could hold the Red Bulls back.
