28bfab No.2207[View All]

Hey guys, figured I'd throw this up here. Here's a few "Discussion Questions".

Ferrari or Mercedes?

Another win for Ferrari, or will Mercedes not drop their spaghetti? I think we could consider Ferrari a serious contender once again. China's "distinct Tilke style" is configured with plenty of long straights which may favor Ferrari's focus on straight line speed. The only difference is Tire Management. Malaysia displayed extremely high track temperatures of up to 60 degrees Celsius. Chances are China will not provide the same advantage for Ferrari, as track temperatures are at least expected to be lower. I personally wouldn't get too suprised if we see Hamilton or Rosberg passing the finish line first.

Raikkonen for a podium? A win?

As may be noticed by now, I'm somewhat of a Raikkonen fan, so these past couple of races (for me) have been a bit disheartening, given the bad luck he's been experiencing. However, if everything goes well this weekend, I think Raikkonen can seriously contend for at least a podium, given that his race pace compares somewhat favorably to Vettel.

Williams down the tubes? Potential challenge from Lotus?

I think its obvious by now that Williams are revealing their true colors : "Wontiums." The have a severe loss in race pace compared to both Ferrari and Mercedes. Whilst this speaks poorly for themselves, I think that Lotus, a team which has gained the most pace (around 5 seconds) since last year, can seriously go for a challenge if the stars aligned. The only limitation is their drivers. Maldonado we have not seen much from this year, whereas Grosjean seriously underperformed last race, failing to pass the much slower car of Nico Hulkenberg. What do you guys think?

Mclaren to gain more pace?

I don't like Ron Dennis, and I don't like all the Mclaren bias in the UK, but it seems that they've been gaining some pace. At one point, Alonso claimed he was in 8th, challenging the Red bulls (given the fact he was on faster/newer tires than his Renault-powered counterparts.) I, like many others, will be watching Project4 racing to see if they've hatched any extra horsepower in their car this race.

I open this discussion up to you guys!

I actually wouldn't mind at all if Vettel won the hip this year. I was originally rooting for Alonso, but the McLaren turned out to be a stinker, and Alonso is already too depressed to drive.

>>2868
He and Crofty were talking about the removal of the gravel trap on entry to the pits, and how it took skill to avoid it. Now it's gone, and the drivers can purposely run wide onto the fresh asphalt.

If a car goes off they have to send out a truck to recover it meaning a potential bianchi situation or blocking the pits.

They should have put some big fuck off rumble strips on it to just deter from using it to gain time

The pit lane isn't covered by virtual safety car or yellow flags.

It's unlikely but that will be what they were thinking.

It would surprise me to see Monisha set up a table by the entrance to the circuit, and sign a contract with anyone willing to cough up $20 as 2016 driver.

Varies by board to board, but 500 is where shit starts to hit the fan. This thread is to the point where my entire browser freezes and I just write nothing into a blank space, and then 10 seconds later it all appears when the thread has updated.
