Yas Marina/Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Autophile 11/17/14 (Mon) 14:56:42 87d970 No. 259
Post all threads related to the upcoming (and final) Grand Prix here. Some topics to consider : 1. Caterham comeback on the loose? 2. Speculations as to 2015 driver line up? 3. Rosberg or Hamilton, who will be Champion? 4. Yas Marina, another technical masterpiece of Tilke, or a derivative pile of fecal-kebab?

So caterham is coming back for Abu Dhabi, marussia is apparently not coming back and will lose their entry for next year. there's still the weirdness with who Alonso will replace, and the sauber situation with van der garde apparently having a contract. there's going to be a fair amount of attrition here. ugh this track.

So the Caterham lineup is Will Stevens (a surprise) and Kamui Kobayashi. Marussia is after all that probably not showing up, and as such, most likely not making it to next year. Lotus, Force India, and Sauber are no doubt trying to get the payout reorganized (rightfully so in my mind). Shitty track here we come.

Let's just say that it could have been worse. I feel so bad for Nico Rosberg though. I can't help but wonder if Hammy messed with his car before the race.

I think the team inplications are the most interesting. Marussia finish with points, Williams going from 3rd worst to 3rd best, Red Bull's last season with the dream team is over with them 2nd… What a season. "gg no re" - HAM

Does anyone know specifically what happened to Nico Rosberg's car? This seems like a real shitty way to determine the world champion…

>>451 From what I gathered Nico had:
- a bad start
- ERS went down
- Mercedes engine problems
- brake problems
…amongst other things. The commentators were talking about how he had to reset the systems, like turning a computer on and off.

>>451 Regardless of what happened, Hamilton was going to win it by sheer talent alone. he is hands down the better driver, and has shown it every single time against Rosberg this season.
Rosberg simply cannot overtake Hamilton whatsoever without resorting to dirty driving. Just look at Bahrain, and then look at what happened at Spa.
