So with the Grand Prix going on this weekend, and the recent developments in the paddock RE: Caterham and Marussia's withdrawals I figured it was worth opening a thread to talk about it.

What do expect/hope for this grand prix weekend?

For Lotus to finish in the points, but we all know that wont happen.

Quali might be interesting because Vettel isn't participating until the actual race.

Who knows, maybe Grosjean will remember how to drive like he did last year.

yeah, even then he wasn't much to ride home about, but AT LEAST he was consistent. Plus he's been so catty about threatening to leave Lotus. Grosjean, score some points you baguette eating scumbag, you.

HAMILTON WINS LOL

For whatever reason, Rosberg seems to outqualify Hamilton, only to give it up through some means. He's got viking blood in him though. Keke looks it too.

Rosberg is a shit tier driver, and only excels in qualifying pace. Rosberg can't overtake Hamilton worth a shit because he's the worse driver.

Hamilton is just a poster child for how this era of drivers who've been karting since the womb are irritating cry babies "maybe it's because I'm black" comes to mind.

Most egregiously after 35+ race incidents in 5 years, everyone expects him to drive like a prick and doesn't care. When he crashed in Shanghai in '07 in the same sandtrap as Maldonado did this year, nobody gave a shit, but when it's Maldonado they did.

How about how just about every time Rosberg goes to overtake (Bahrain in particular comes to mind) Hamilton shuts the door in such a way that Rosberg can either slow down, or crash. Nobody bats an eye when that happens, but when Rosberg did the same, it was a whole fucking can of worms.

Rosberg can actually develop the car and has an engineering education, such that he can provide input other than simply bitching about oversteer.

Rosberg may look like a fruit, but he's not an emotional fuckmess of a child that requires special treatment.

You're a fucking moron if you think Bahrain was legitimate blocking attempts from Hamilton.

Rosberg is the inferior driver, and he can't overtake Hamilton at all. He lacks the pace, he lacks the determination, he lacks the skill.

There's a reason why Hamilton is leading the championship despite his numerous DNFs through mechanical failures.

so you, who so nicely referred to me as a moron, believe that blowing by at 30 km/h is a pass indicative of skill?

Because that looks to me, and to the countless people smarter than me to be a push to pass.

DRS inherently favors the people who qualified poorly, and is a stupid gimmicky, spec thing anyway.

There was no passing done by Rosberg because, as I've said numerous times, he's a garbage driver compared to Hamilton.

Get of Rosbergs dick you incessant fanboy.

Says the guy who's worshiping Hamilton's.

But on a serious note, I don't thing either driver is good…they just got lucky to be on a team that has a car that's significantly faster than everything else on the grid.

Riccardo, about to do his porno shoot.

I must say, Pastor Maldonado did pretty damn good considering he was running with that shitty Renault engine in Qualifying.

What a drive from Pastor Maldonado! We all know the "crashtor" jokes, but for him to be the fastest Renault engined car in q1, and to be nearly that in q2 is really impressive.

I've heard that Lotus has stopped getting engine updates from Renault since their announcement of intention to secure Mercedes engines, in which case this is more impressive.

Hot diggity! A Lotus starting from the points (Button got a silly penalty) is an impressive thing.

I've long noted that Lotus driver development is among the more impressive programs in the sport, but to be able to get more consistent and quality drives out of Pastor would be the fullest expression of that.

He got two points! Yay!
Also, I find it kind of amusing that him and Vergne were both penalized with an addition of 5 seconds which did absolutely nothing in regards to their results in the race.
