Feel free to make any constructive suggestions. For the forseeable future, discussion of NASCAR, WEC/LeMans, Indycar, and other motorsport series will be allowed. It is preferable that discussion be related back to F1, but not required.

e771a4 No.6915

>>6914

Burgermeister had the idea to watch old races on cytube with a chat

>>6555

Only me and him turned up but it was still great and we watched the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix.

It's saturday 1AM GMT which I think is about 7pm Mexico time. We will probably move it to in-between sessions on race weekends

yoooooo! thats hype as fuck, i'll be here

ff0282 No.6917

so now that Todt has his UN gig does it mean he will finally fuck off from the FIA and fucking die in a car wreck somewhere

>>6907

You will not find run off area in manhattan.

>>6908

Their cars are slow and tracks shitty but the whole muh safety panic that f1 has doesnt exist for them.

>>6911

theres about 8 of us that have been actively posting this week.

>>6917

one can only hope. but the best chance for him to die was the nepal earthquake

0b7a1e No.6919

Our post speed is good during race weekends, and the cytube races were a good idea, but we need to get better posting in the lulls between races.

No his role as Special Envoy for Road Safety is just a new part of being the head of the FIA.

The FIA represent the interests of motoring organisations and motor car users. They are a massive organisation with the prominent bit being the governing of motor racing series.

0b7a1e No.6921

>>6920

of all ideas anyone could have ever had, giving the FIA more power is a pretty highly ranking retarded one

e771a4 No.6922

>>6921

I imagine they will in future split the governing of motor series into a separate branch of the FIA and the FIA will become this global car organisation with all the current organisations under it.

0b7a1e No.6923

>>6922

and here I thought that the NHTSA and EuroNCAP would ruin everything worthwhile about the car hobby with high beltlines, bad daylight openings, 5 foot wide a and c pillars, 7 airbags, heavily raked windshields, traction control, stability control, automated lane tracking, and all this shit being mandatory.

NOPE Jean Todt and the people who ruined F1 are going to help them.

The FIA helped setup Euro NCAP.

Mosley was the first chairman.

Also the FIA is very branched out in the motorsport world as well.

The FIA has a huge amount of member organisations around the world. In the United States the member organisation is ACCUS.

And the members of ACCUS include: NASCAR, INDYCAR, NHRA, SCCA, IMSA and USAC.

Currently they only processes international competition licenses for drivers in the U.S., provides homologation and record keeping but the FIA still does have a connection with NASCAR & IndyCar.

It's only a matter of time before the FIA expand out and decide to control all motor racing.

I hope you manage to sleep tonight with these nightmares.

This is legitimately scarier than the terrifying noises ive been hearing at night while in sleep paralysis

At some point private car ownership will be banned and instead a fleet of driverless electric cars that are all connected and speaking to each other will be on the roads.

And through some app on a device you tell it where you want to go and a car will drop out of the stream pick you up and take you off. If another person is going the same way it will pick them up too.

It will be like a fleet of uber taxi's moving everyone around.

That's actually unconstitutional. In the U.S. we have freedom of movement guaranteed. Don't worry though, the democrats think the constitution is a vague guideline, not the MAJOR ARTICLE OF CONFEDERATION.

e771a4 No.6929

>>6928

Freedom of movement?

But anon you are free to go anywhere!!!

You just have to be a slave to this driverless car and we can sell your travel data to third parties. It's not like we don't do that already.

Oh and the cars will have advertisements playing inside them. Of course you will have to pay a fee to turn them off.

Also we may use this for selective breeding by forcing certain people to take the same journey together alone so that they will fall in love and make strong better children while inferior people will take single journey to incinerators.

Hope you love your new dystopian future all controlled by the FIA.

Accidental drunk public urination during recess in view of the children?

That seems like the most harmless thing I could think of which would get you a restraining order like that.

Fucking bullshit though. Here in the land of the free we have Megan's law which has a stipulation that sex offenders cannot tell you what they got registered for. So if you peed in the bushes you're the same as a child molester in many places.

That's actually amazing. Also, the lp5000 countach with that wing that totally doesnt do shit is beautifully batshit in a way that only 80s lamborghinis can be. Shame that no super car today compares.

We got ourselves a master aerodynamicist over here, fellas.

0b7a1e No.6948

it's fairly well documented that all that wing does is reduce the top speed some 10 mph. I believe Jay Leno removed his. Did you know that some of them have a front wing that actually produces lift? It was an importer's shitty attempt to get past bumper height restrictions.

Confirmed as a real leak by FOM

>FOM statement - 2016 calendar

>29 Apr 2015

>It would appear that the proposed 2016 calendar has been leaked. This calendar has not yet been approved.

e771a4 No.6950

>>6949

of course it was.

The calendar is never talked about this early. Bernie clearly realising the calendar early to gain on something. Probably the deals with Germany and Italy.

Also by scheduling 21 races early he may get the teams that extra engine. Last year they wouldn't have got one because the korean race wasn't originally on the calendar.
