2015 Spanish Grand Prix Autophile ## Board Volunteer 05/09/15 (Sat) 16:16:19 15b86e No. 7955 [View All]
A new thread, old thread reaching limit.
Will Rosberg actually be able to maintain first place? Or will he go beta and throw it away to Hamilcock? Do you think a Torro Rosso can get a podium? Will Maldonado opt for a ride in his mad-max lotus? Will he systematically murder all drivers in his way to acquire first place?

That's not a sign of a good driver.

I meant from a natural perspective. Obviously that takes away from his completeness as a driver. Many of the non british drivers for a lot of f1's history weren't super technical. This is especially true for the french drivers with the major exceptions of Alain Prost and Jean Pierre Jabouille.

also three grand prix wins in less than dominating cars is nothing to sneeze at.
Thought I should share this because it sounds nice and it's cool to see how low the car is and the shifting action.

http://motorsportstalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/08/marciello-pleased-with-practice-progress-at-sauber/
>Marciello’s next outing for Sauber will come at next week’s in-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, and he is relishing the opportunity to enjoy some longer runs behind the wheel of the C34 car.
>“During FP1 you don’t have a lot of time,” he said. “You’re afraid to crash or something. During a test you have all day, so you can do warm up laps. You can do long runs, of course during a normal day you have more chance to improve.

A lot of the old circuit got turned into public road with houses on it so it can't be done.

It is showing the layout change in the picture.
They have to extended the first corner and made it tighter.

They needed money so sold off half the land to property developers (Johannesburg was growing) and built the new circuit with some of the money using a few of the old corners.
Such a shitty reason.

Keke was cosmopolitan businessman oriented and thought it's not very useful to learn a language only 5 million people speak in some frozen northern wasteland, especially when it differs so much from most European languages, instead it was more reasonable to learn the major languages of Europe to get sponsorships etc. and get inside a team easier no matter which language was spoken inside the team.

I'd be perfectly happy if the FIA just did away with the tire regulations. I don't care if there's a tire war or not, just let them design a tire that allows drivers to really push the limits for more than half of a lap before the tire dies and they have to nurse it home.
